Mixed Media Tag Things with Wings Birds

Hello, friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our them his "THINGS WITH WINGS". I inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia House of Roses Paper on the background and decorated it with Prima Marketing No Other Place Spring Farmhouse Flowers and Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Industrial Gears Embellishments. 

I started this project with trimming the patterned paper from Stamperia House of Roses collection and pasted it on this size 8 tag as the background. I distressed this tag using the ink pads and blenders. The small tag and the bird were cut out from the same paper collection, and adhered on the tag with double sided tabs. 

The prima Flowers were distressed with the ink pad and the blender. I added the quote chip and some metal embellishments. I hope you like my tag and are inspired to create your project with wings. Looking forward to seeing what you create. Happy crafting!

Mixed Media Tag Bird Wings

Hello, friends, it's so great to see you again. I hope you all enjoy the spring weather. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we want to see you create with "THINGS WITH WINGS".
I was inspired to created a mixed media tag with the watercolored background using Daniel Smith watercolors and embellished the tag using Tim Holtz Caged Bird Die.

To start this project, I applied Daniel Smith watercolors on the tag using a brush. I really love the beautiful colors of this watercolor set. After it was dry, I randomly rub on some text and images on the tag. 

On a piece of cardboard, I die cut the bird and the cage using Big Shot and Tim Holtz Bird die. The bird and cage was colored and distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Paints. 

I added some metal embellishments and sentiments with Big Chat Stickers. Last step was splattering some Gesso and water mixture using a brush. 

I really love the fabulous watercolors on the background and the beautiful colors on the bird and cage. I hope this tag inspired you to create and join us! Looking forward to seeing your project with wings!
