Mixed Media Christmas Holiday Tag Let It Snow


Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This challenge will last for 2 weeks, ending on New Years day. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "LET IT SNOW". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray Salty Ocean Ranger on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps Jolly Holiday and Tim Holtz Idea-ology CHRISTMAS Sticker Book.


I started this project with spraying Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray Salty Ocean Ranger on the background, applying the modeling paste on the lower part of the tag with a palette knife, and splattered the white
gesso and water mixture on the tag. I also sprinkled some snow glitters to create the sparkling snow scene on the background.


On a piece of heavy card stock I stamped the Santa image with red and black ink pad. I cut the red Santa image, the black belt and boots, and glue the belt and boots on the red Santa image. The image was added on the tag using double sided tapes. I also added the holiday sentiments using stickers from Tim Holtz Idea-ology CHRISTMAS Sticker Book and Tim Holtz Idea-ology 2023 Christmas Baseboards and Transparencies. I finished this holiday tag with attaching the colored wreath and stars in this snow scene.

Mixed Media Christmas Tag Use Dies


Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge as this month we are celebrating DieCember® we would like to "USE DIES". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Idea-ology 2023 Christmas Layer Frame on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Sizzix FEATHERED FRIENDS Thinlits Die and Tim Holtz Idea-ology 2023 Christmas Adornments Deck The Halls.


I started this project with trimming the back drop paper from Tim Holtz Idea-ology 2023 Christmas Backdrops and pasted it on the #8 tag. I distressed and outlined the edges of the tag with the art dauber and a black pen. Tim Holtz Idea-ology 2023 Christmas Layer Frames was pasted on the tag with double sided foam tapes. 
 

The birds were die cut with  Tim Holtz Sizzix FEATHERED FRIENDS Thinlits Die and Big Shot using textured card stocks. I attached some Christmas embellishments on the tag. To finish off this Christmas project, I added some holiday sentiment stickers and a chipboard.

Mixed Media Winter Blue Christmas Tag



Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "WINTER BLUES". As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Tim Holtz. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used. Our guest designer this is Rox aka Red Dirt Crafter. Please visit her blog for all the great inspirations and awesome creations. 


I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Idea-ology 2023 Christmas Layer Frames on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Sizzix Santa Greetings, Colorize Thinlits Dies and Tim Holtz Idea-ology CONFECTIONS CANDY CANES. 
 

To start this project, I trimmed the card stock and pasted it on the size 8 tag. The tag was distressed with Tim Holtz Ink Pads and Art Daubers. I pasted some sentiments on the background using Tim Holtz Idea-ology 2023 Christmas Sticker. I then die cut Santa and sentiments using Tim Holtz Sizzix Santa Greetings, Colorize Thinlits Dies and Big Shot, and pasted them on the tag. To finish off this Christmas tag, I added some holiday elements like candy canes and a star.

Mixed Media Christmas Tag Trees



Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "TREES". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Clear Stamps and Stencil HOLIDAY THINGS on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Clear Stamps and Stencil VINTAGE HOLIDAYS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology 2023 Christmas Adornments Deck The Halls.


To start this project, I trimmed the watercolor paper into a size 8 Tag and pasted it on Tim Holtz Etcetera #8 TAG CHIPBOARD. The background of the tag was stamped with Tim Holtz Clear Stamps and Stencil HOLIDAY THINGS using Tim Holtz Distress ink pads. I stamped Santa image using Tim Holtz Clear Stamps and Stencil VINTAGE HOLIDAYS. The image was colored with Zig Watercolor Brushes. 


The holiday sentiments were added using the stickers from Tim Holtz Idea-ology 2023 Christmas Sticker Book. I colored the star and Christmas wreath using Tim Holtz Distress Paints, then pasted them on the tag using double side tapes.

Mixed Media Christmas Tag



Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "TAG IT". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Idea-ology 2023 Christmas Backdrops on the background, and decorated it with Simon Says Clear Stamps Fresh Air Holiday Tree and Tim Holtz Idea-ology CHRISTMAS Sticker Book.


To start this project, I trimmed the paper from Tim Holtz Idea-ology 2023 Christmas Backdrops and pasted it on the size 8 tag. The tag was distressed with the black ink pad and outlined with a black pen. 


On a piece of watercolor paper, I stamped the Christmas tree and sentiment using Simon Says Clear Stamps Fresh Air Holiday Tree and Tim Holtz MINI DISTRESS INK PADS SETS 13, 14, AND 15 Ranger. The Christmas tree and sentiment were cut and pasted on the tag with the foam tape. I added the Santa and more sentiment stickers from Tim Holtz Idea-ology CHRISTMAS Sticker Book. To finish off this Christmas tag, I added some more holiday elements from Tim Holtz Idea-ology 2023 Christmas Confections.

Mixed Media Tag Thank You


Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "THANKS/ THANKSGIVING". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia SEA LAND 12x12 Paper on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology PAPER DOLLS PORTRAITS and Tim Holtz Sizzix FALL FOLIAGE Thinlits Die. 


I started this project with trimming the patterned paper from Stamperia SEA LAND collection and pasted it on the size 8 tag. The tag was distressed with Distresser, and the art dauber and Distress Ink Pad. The window frame and paper doll were pasted on the tag using foam tapes. 


I die cut the autumn leaves with Tim Holtz Sizzix FALL FOLIAGE Thinlits Die and Big Shot, and distressed the leaves with Distress Ink Pad and Art Dauber. I stamped the sentiment using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps SIMPLE SAYINGS, cut and pasted it on the tag using foam tapes. To finish off this project, I added a pinecone and clip on the tag.
