Mixed Media Halloween Tag Heat Embossing



Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "EMBOSS IT". I was inspired to create a mixed media Halloween tag using Tim Holtz Layering Stencil DECAYED on the background, and decorated it with the heat embossed image using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps MONSTROUS and Simon Says Stamp EMBOSSING POWDER CLEAR Fine Detail.


I started this project with spraying Tim Holtz Distress HALLOWEEN MICA STAIN SET 3 Ranger over
Tim Holtz Layering Stencil DECAYED for the background on this size 8 tag.  The background was sprinkled with the clear embossing powder and heated dry with a heat tool. I distressed the edges of the tag using Distress Ink Pad and a blending tool, then outlined the tag using a black pen. 


On a piece of watercolor paper, I stamped the witch image using Tim Holtz Distress HALLOWEEN MICA STAIN SET 3 Ranger and a black ink pad, then heat embossed it. The witch was colored with 
Zig Clean Color 30 COLOR SET A Real Brush, then tore and adhered on the tag. The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed on the tag. I added some more sentiments using Tim Holtz Idea-ology CURIOSITIES Sticker Book. Some metal embellishments were adhered on the tag to finish off this EMBOSSed Halloween tag.

Mixed Media Tag Sparkle & Shine


Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "SPARKLE & SHINE". I was inspired to create a sparkle mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Distress HALLOWEEN SPARKLE SET Ranger on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology ENGRAVING LAYERS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology EPHEMERA SNIPPETS NUMBER STRIPS.


To start this project, I first applied a layer of Tombow Mono Glue evenly on the background of the size 8 tag, then sprinkled the Tim Holtz Distress Mica Flakes on it. I colored the die cut embellishments from  Tim Holtz Idea-ology ENGRAVING LAYERS with Zig Clean Color 30 COLOR SET A Real Brush, and pasted them on the tag using Tombo Mono Glue and double sided tapes. 


The sentiment was added using Tim Holtz Idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHT. I also added some embellishments on the tag from Tim Holtz Idea-ology EPHEMERA SNIPPETS NUMBER STRIPS, some half pearls from Buttons Galore and More HALF PEARLZ SILVER Embellishment, and a hitch fastener from Tim Holtz Idea-ology HITCH FASTENERS.

This tag is dedicating to Queen Elizabeth ll to her memory, since today is her funeral. If you would like to join us this week, please make a project with sympathy, condolences, crowns, jewels etc. Hope you like my sparkle project and happy crafting!

Mixed Media Holiday Christmas Tag Die Cuts


Hello, my talented crafty friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "DIE CUTS". I was inspired to create a mixed media holiday tag using Paper Rose WINTER STROLL 12x12 Paper Pad on the background, and decorated it with die cut embellishments using CZ Design Stamps and Dies ORNAMENT OPTIONS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology CHRISTMAS Ephemera Pack.


To start this project, I trimmed the paper from Paper Rose WINTER STROLL 12x12 Paper Pad and pasted it on this size 8 tag. I distressed the edges of the tag using Distress Ink Pad and a blending tool, then outlined the tag using a black pen. The ornaments were stamped and die cut on another piece of patterned paper from the same paper collection. I distressed, outlined and glued the die cuts of these ornaments, then adhered them on the tag with double sided tapes. 
 

On the background of the tag, I pasted the holiday decoration pieces from Tim Holtz Idea-ology CHRISTMAS Ephemera Pack and randomly added the Christmas sentiments. The metal and pearl embellishments were adhered on the tag to finish off the project. Holiday Tag STAMPtember Stamp It


Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. STAMPtember® is a very special month in the Simon Says Stamp calendar. This week we are all using some fabulous products from the latest Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® Release. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

Our theme this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is "STAMP IT". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Paper Rose WINTER STROLL 12x12 Paper Pad on the background, and stamped the sentiment using CZ Design Clear Stamps ORNAMENT OPTIONS and Tsukineko VersaFine ONYX BLACK Ink Pad.


I started this project with trimming Paper Rose WINTER STROLL 12x12 Paper Pad and pasted it on this size 8 tag. I distressed the edges of the tag using Distress Ink Pad and a blending tool, then outlined the tag using a black pen. I stamped the sentiment on the patterned paper from the same paper pad and adhered it on the tag using double sided tapes. 


On a different piece of patterned paper, another sentiment was stamped around the reindeer's head. I cut this reindeer image and pasted it on the tag using Tombow Mono Glue. The metal and pearl embellishments were adhered on the tag to finish off the project. Hope you like this holiday tag and it inspired you. Please join us this week and happy crafting!
