Mixed Media Tag Frame It Prima Marketing Flowers

Hi, my talented crafty friends, I hope you all had a great weekend and welcome back for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "FRAME IT". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Prima Marketing Petite Round Frame and decorated it with Tim Holtz Metal Game Spinner and Idea-Ology Sprocket Gears Watch Parts Hardware.

I started this project with painting the background of the tag using Distress Paint metallic colors. The Prima Marketing Frame was also painted with Distress Paint metallic colors. The antique photo was layered with the colored frame and attached on the tag. 

On the background of the tag I stamped the text print with Prima Clear Stamp and the black ink pad. The Tim Holtz gear embellishments were glued on the tag and colored with the metallic paint. All these  embellishments were glued on the tag using Tombow glue. 

The rose was colored the same metallic paints, and attached on the tag using Tombow Mono Glue. To finish off the tag, I randomly added some Tim Holtz Rubs on and Quotation Stickers.

Mixed Media Tag Stencil Space in Your Heart

Hello, my talented blog friends, I hope you all had a great weekend. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our challenge theme is "USE STENCILS".
I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Shifter Mini Stencil Set 40 and Layering stencil Splotches for stenciling the texture on background.

I started this project with stenciling the background of the tag using Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Splotches and Modeling Paste with a palette knife.  The background and the edges of the tag were colored with Distress Paints to show the texture.  I then made some patterns by dabbing Distress Paint over Tim Holtz Mini Stencil set 40 on the tag. 

Some Tim Holtz metal embellishments were colored using Distress Paints and attached on the tag using Glue Dots. I really love the sentiment on the word band: "Remember to keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable". I added random sentiments on the tag with Idea-Ology Remnant and Tiny Text Rubs. 

To finish off the project, I splattered some Distress Paint and water mixture with a brush. I truly had fun creating this tag, and hope you got inspired to use your stencils. Join us and happy crafting!
