Mixed Media Tag Take Me for a Ride

Hello friends, welcome back for the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "TAKE ME FOR A RIDE". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia Paper Sea World on the background   and added sentiments with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Quote Chips and Remnant Specimen Rubs.Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

I started this project with trimming the peer from Stamperia Sea World collection and pasted it on the size 8 tag. The tag was distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad and a blending tool, and the edges of the tag were outlined with a black pen.

The blimp image was stamped on the watercolor paper, colored with Daniel watercolor, cut and pasted on the tag using double sided foam tapes. I added some texts and sentiments with Tim Holtz Quote Chip, Remnant Rubs and stickers. 

Some metal embellishments from Prima Marketing Finnabair Mechanicals and Tim Holtz Machinery  were attached on the tag.  I splashed some Gesso and water mixture randomly on the tag to finish off this project. I really love this flying air vehicle and hope it takes you for a ride to anywhere you can imagine. Join us for this week's challenge and have fun!

Mixed Media Tag Shoot for the Stars

Hello, dear crafty friends, hope you all had a great weekend and welcome back for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "SHOOT FOR THE STARS". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps Eclectic Adverts on the background and embellished the tag with Darice Gold Star Sequins and Prima Marketing Hardware Accents Finnabair Mechanicals.

To start this project, I trimmed the patterned paper from Tim Holtz Abandoned Collection and pasted it on the size 8 tag. The tag was stamped with Tim Holtz Cling Stamps Eclectic Adverts and heat embossed with the gold embossing powder. I splashed some metallic gold Distress Paint and water mixture on the background of the tag. 

I added some sentiments and texts on the background using Tim Holtz Specimen Rubs, stickers and Quotation Chips. Some star sequins were adhered on the tag using Tombow Glue. 

Some metal embellishments were added on the tag. To finish this project, I colored the edges of the tag  using Distress Paint and outlined them with a black pen. I really love the beautiful patterned paper on the background and the gold embossed images are so pretty on this tag. Hope you like this tag and got  inspired to create your project with stars.
