Mixed Media Tag Inspired by Movie Alpha



Hey, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "INSPIRED BY A MOVIE". I was inspired by the movie Alpha to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia Cosmos 12 X 12 Paper on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology MACHINERY HEADS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology FLASHCARDS.


I started this project with trimming Stamperia Cosmos Paper and pasted it on this size 8 tag. I distressed the edges of the tag using Distress Ink Pad and a blending tool, then outlined the tag using a black pen. On a piece of watercolor paper, I stamped the wolf image using the black ink pad, and colored it with watercolors. The image was cut and pasted on the tag with double sided tapes. Although the wolf image from Stamperia Leave Your Print at Simon Says Stamp store is no longer available, you can still cut the beautiful wolf image from the paper from Cosmos collection. 

























I added the sentiment with the stickers from Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers and Tim Holtz Flash Card.  I attached the metal embellishments on the tag. To finish off this furry friend project, I splattered some white Gesso and water mixture using a brush.

Mixed Media Tag Something Beginning with S

Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "SOMETHING BEGINNING WITH "S"". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using the sentiments from Tim Holtz Idea-ology SMALL TALK Stickers and Tim Holtz Idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHTS beginning with S, and decorated it with Stamperia ATELIER DES ARTS Die Cuts. 

I started this project with trimming the patterned paper from Stamperia Oriental Garden 12 X 12 Paper and pasted it on the size 8 tag. The edges of tag were distressed with Distress Ink Pad and an art dauber. I also outlined the tag using a black pen. 

The die cut embellishments were all distressed with Distress Ink Pad and art daubers, and outlined with a black pen. I arranged and layered them then adhered them on the tag using double sided tapes. As the final step, I added the sentiments that beginning with "S" from Tim Holtz Idea-ology SMALL TALK Stickers and Tim Holtz Idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHTS.

Mixed Media Tag Frame It


Hey, my dear talented friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "FRAME IT". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Idea-ology BASEBOARDS WINDOW FRAME on this corrugated tag, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology PAPER DOLLS MINI, Tim Holtz Idea-ology QUOTE SEALS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology WORD PLAQUES. 


I started this project with colored and distressed this size 8 corrugated tag with Distress Ink Pads and Distress Paints. The tag was outlined with a black pen. 


I framed the mini dolls using Tim Holtz Window Frame with the Tim Holtz Backdrop Paper on the background. Some Tim Holtz metal embellishments were attached on the tag with Tombo Mono Glue and double sided tapes. I randomly colored this tag with Distress Paints using a watercolor brush. To finish off this project, I adhered some of my favorite sentiments using Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers.

Bright and Cheerful Art Journal Page



Hello, my dear crafty friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "BRIGHT and CHEERFUL". As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Katzelkraft. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used. Our guest designer this month is Alison Bomber aka Words and Pictures. Please visit her blog for all the awesome inspiration and creations.


I was inspired to create an art journal page using Stamperia KLIMT ART IS A LINE Cling Stamps
and the black ink pad on the background of the watercolor paper. The art journal page was colored with Zig PORTABLE GANSAI TAMBI 14 Colors Travel Watercolor Set and Royal Langnickel ZEN WATERCOLOR BRUSH Set . 


I added sentiments with Katzelkraft ATARAXIA Red Rubber Unmounted Stamp and randomly Tim Holtz Idea-ology REMNANT RUBS LABELED. I really love the bright and cheerful watercolors and the beautiful label sentiment from Katzekraft. Hope you like my project and got inspired to creation your bright and cheerful create.
