Mixed Media Tag Red White Blue

Hey, my lovely blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "RED, WHITE and/or BLUE". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 3 for the brick wall on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Keepsakes Ephemera and Ranger Dina Wakley Media Speak Out Chipboard Shapes

I started this project by applying Gesso on the background of the tag, then applied the modeling paste and red Distress Paint mixture over the Tim Holtz Mini Stencil to make the red brick wall. The edges of the tag were distressed using the Distress Ink Pad and a blending tool, then outlined with a black pen.

I layered and pasted the embellishments that were distressed with the Distress Ink Pad and the blending tool, and outlined with the black pen. The sentiments were added using Tim Holtz Sticker and colored Dina Wakley Chipboard. I also attached some metal embellishments and clips. I really love these RED, WHITE and BLUE color combination and hope this project inspired you to create something to join us this week. Have fun and happy crafting!

Mixed Media Tag We Can See Clearly

Hey, my dear crafty friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge out theme is "WE CAN SEE CLEARLY". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Gauge Frames Embellishments and its plastic packaging to make windows to see Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Found Relatives Portraits

To start this project, I wrapped the size 8 tag with the foil and embossed it with Tim Holtz Foundry 3D Embossing Folder. The tag was distressed with a black ink pad a blender. I glued the Tim Holtz Gauge Frames and the plastic packaging cut from it to make the see through window, then pasted the vintage portraits under the windows using the foam tapes.

Many metal embellishments and hardware heads were attached on the tag. I also added some sentiments using Tim Holtz Label Stickers and metallic stickers. The chipboard sentiment was distressed and pasted on the tag with foam tapes.

Hope you liked my "We can see clearly" project and got inspired to create your own. Can't wait to see what you make! Happy crafting!
