Mixed Media Art Journal Visible Image Stamp Clear Daydreamer

Hello, my talented crafty friends, hope you all had a great weekend and welcome back for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "SOMETHING CLEAR". Please use something clear like acetate, vellum, clear embossing powder, glossy accents, etc. on your creation. 

We are showcasing some fabulous products from Visible Image this week. If you have any of their products we would love to see them used, but it's not necessary to join in with the challenge. This week we are welcoming back the lovely Anne Redfern aka Redanne  into the Designer Spotlight. I was inspired to create a mixed media journal page using the Visible Image Daydreamer Clear Stamp and decorated it with the clear Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Facets Dangles. 

To start this project, I sprayed the Distress Oxide Spray with different colors over the Tim Holtz Layering Stencils to create the background patterns. 

On a piece of white heavy card stock, I stamped the Visible Image Daydreamer stamp and colored it using Daniel Smith watercolor set. The image and the sentiments was cut and pasted on the journal page. 

On another piece of white heavy card stock, I colored it using watercolors and rubbed on some sentiments. I adhered the clear Facets Dangles on the sentiments with Tombow Mono Glue. The Facets Dangles were cut and glued on the journal page. 

I really love the cute daydreamer image from the Visible Image and enjoy playing the beautiful colors of the sprays on the background. Hope you like my art journal page and got inspired to create your project. Happy crafting!

Mixed Media Tag S is for Sassy and Saucy

Hello, my dear blog friends, I hope you all had a great weekend and welcome back for the new challenge this week! Our theme at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is "S is for.... ". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag with the sassy image from Inky Antics Sassy & Saucy Clear Stamp Set and the background using Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 39.

I started this project with coloring and distressing the background of this tag using Distress Paints. The background also was stamped using the stamp in the same Sassy and Saucy set, and stenciled the patterns using Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 39 and 40. 

On a piece of heavy white card stock, I stamped this sassy cute girl using the stamp designed by our lovely team mate Andrea Parr. The image was colored using Daniel Smith watercolors, cut and pasted on the tag.  

I colored metal embellishments using Distress Paints and pasted them on the tag. Some sentiments were added with stamped texts and Tim Holtz Ramnant Rubs.
