Hi, my lovely crafty friends, I am so happy that you come back. We had a very good weather here in Dallas almost like summer. Hope you all enjoyed you spring break weekend, too. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we want to see your project with "LAYER IT UP".
I was inspired to create a mixed media tag with layered background using Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 26, and decorated it with layered embellishments and stamped sentiment using Tim Holtz Stamp Mini Motivation.
To start this project with layered background, I used Canson watercolor paper and cut it into 6" X 3" size tag. For the background patterns, I sprayed Tim Hotlz Spray over Layering Stencil and pressed the tag over the stencil.
After the tag was dry, I made the leaves patterns on the sprayed background by dabbed Simon Says Stamp ink pad over Tim Holtz mini stencil using an Art Dauber.
The last layer of the background pattern was stamping the images using Tim Holtz Correspondance Stamp and Simon Says Stmap ink pad.
The embellishments were layered with torn corrugate paper and Tim Holtz film strip using Tombow Mono Glue. I colored on a piece of watercolor paper with Daniel Smith watercolors with random colors and stamped the sentiment using the mini motivation stamp. The sentiment was cut and pasted on the tag using Tombow tab adhesive.
The last step was distressing the tag using the distress tool and colored the edges of the tag using Simon Says Stamp ink pad and Art Dauber.
I really had fun creating this tag with layered background and layered embellishments. I hope you got inspired and create something to join us this week. Can't wait to see what you create!
