Mixed Media Tag Butterfly Be Your Best Life

Hey, my blog friends, I hope you all had a great weekend! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge we want to challenge you to "Make Your Own Background". As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Paper Artsy. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using modeling Prima Marketing Modeling Paste over Paper Artsy Eclectica 3 Tracy Scott Stencil for the texture on the background. To start this project, I applied the modeling paste over the Paper Artsy stencil to create the texture on the background of the tag. 

The background was colored with different colors of Distress Paints. I stamped the text print of Prima Read to Me Stamp on the tag, the heat embossed the tag with the clear embossing powder and a heat tool. 

All the metal embellishments were colored using Distress Paint and adhered on the tag using the Tim Holtz Fasteners. As a final step, I added the sentiments with Idea-Ology Quotation Stickers.
