Mixed Media Tag Time Out

Welcome back to my blog, my dear crafty friends! Let's play for the new challenge. This week, at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "TIME OUT". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Sizzix Weathered Die Bigz Clock Alterations and decorated it with Idea-Ology Story Sticks.

I started this project with coloring this size 8 tag with various shades of Dylusions Acrylic Paints to create the weathered effect using a pen brush. After the paints were dry, I added some Modeling Paste and Crackle Paint to create the texture on the background. 

The die cut clock was colored with the same set of Acrylic Paints and added Crackle Paint for the texture. I pasted the clock on the tag and cut the excess to fit the tag. All the metal embellishment were colored using Dylusions Acrylic Paints, too. I pasted these embellishments on the tag using Tombow Mono Glue. 

Some Prima Flowers were pasted on the tag to finish off this project. I really enjoy creating this tag for the old weathered effect since I love how it looked worn by long exposure by the weather.

Mixed Media Tag Flower Power

Hello, my lovely crafty friends, I am so glad that you are back. This week, at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our challenge theme is "FLOWER POWER". I can't wait to see what you create. I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Prima Marketing Rose Flowers and decorated with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Quote Token.

On this size 8 tag, I first applied some different shades of acrylic paint then a layer of the crackle paint when the acrylic paints were dry. The edges of the tag were distressed using the Simon Says Stamp Ink pad and a blender. I also outlined the edges of the tag using a black pen. The metal embellishments were colored with the acrylic paints and attached on the tag using foam tabs. 

I attached the cheese cloth with die cut leaves then layered with Prima Flowers and stamped sentiment using Tomboy Mono Glue. 

As the final touch, I splattered some Gesso and water mixture, and acrylic paints randomly on the tag. 

I always love spring season and enjoy creating with flower/ nature challenge theme. I hope this tag inspired you to use these awesome products and create with us this week. Happy crafting!
