Mixed Media Tag Spring Journey Play with Paint

Hello, my talented crafty friends, I am so glad that you are back. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "Play with Paint". Since Spring is officially here, I'd like to create this week's project using the sprint theme. I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Distress Paints and Daniel Smith Watercolor Paints, and decorated it with Sizzix Geo Spring Time Thinlits Die and Prima Marketing Dark Romance Midnight Garden Flowers.

On this size 8 tag, I first applied the modeling paste using a palette knife to create the texture on the background. After the modeling paste was dry, I applied different colors of Distress Paints on the tag. Some Tim Holtz Rubs On texts were added on the background of the tag. 

On a piece of watercolor paper, I painted some Daniel Smith watercolors. I die cut the hummingbird and pasted it on the colored watercolor paper with Tombow Mono Glue. The hummingbird was cut and pasted on the tag with foam tabs. 

The Prima flower embellishments were arranged and attached on the tag using Glue Dots. The metal embellishment was colored with Distress Paints and attached on the tag.

Mixed Media Mini Canvas Farm Animals Miniature Tiny Things

Hello, my talented crafty friends, welcome back for another challenge. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and let's play with the new challenge theme this week. At Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we want to see you create with something "Miniature/ Tiny Things".

I was inspired to create some mini canvases with some cute farm animals using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp 2019 Funny Farm and and Shifter Mini Stencil Set 40.

I started this project with applying different shades of watercolors on the background of these 3" X 3" mini canvas with a pen brush. I stenciled three patterns on these mini canvases with Tim Holtz mini stencil set 30 and the blending tool. 

The background was also added texts and prints using Prima Read to Me stamp and Tim Holtz Distress Mini Ink Pads as well as Idea-Ology Remnant Rubs. 

The farm animals images were stamped on the mini canvas. On a piece of heavy white card stock, I stamped the animal images and the sentiments. After these images were colored with watercolor, I cut these images and sentiments and pasted them on the canvases with foam tabs.

To finish off this project, I distressed these mini canvases with Mini Distress Ink Pads and outlined them using a black pen. I really enjoyed creating these tiny canvases with these cute funny farm animals, and hope you got inspired and like them, too.
