Life is Wonderful - White

Hi, my friends, this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we challenge you to create with white. There are so many shades of white, from cream to navajo and with applications from nautical to patriotic to winter. How will you use white this week? Will it be with gesso? ink? pen? Or perhaps you will transform simple white cardstock. Join us for the fun with white!

I have a tutorial for you so please check back on Wednesday to see how I created this mixed media wall decor with various shades of white here on my blog and on Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. See you on Wednesday!

Hope you all enjoy your day.

Mixed Media Shabby Chic Configuration Box

Hi, my lovely crafty friends, do you have any craft product that you love but don’t use nearly enough? Perhaps it is a stamp or maybe it is a particular ink color. Whatever your particular product or technique is – this is your chance to get it used and share!

For this week Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, I altered a configurations shadow box that I always love but have never created any project with it before.

I have collected many different sized Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Configurations Shadow Boxes and they are perfect for storing and sorting my craft embellishments and jewelry accessories.

This week, I decided to altere one of the boxes, and create some textures using Modeling Paste and colors using Distress Paints on it.

There are some cute embellishments attached on the box. Now it becomes a beautiful decor on my bookshelf.

I hope you enjoyed my creation and are inspired to create something using the items or techniques you rarely used. Just think out of the box.  ^_^

Supply List:

Thank you for stopping. Hope you all have a fantastic week.

Clearsnap Something Tattered - Mixed Media Wedding Tag

Hi, my dear crafty friends, welcome to the Clearsnap and Something Tattered cross-promotion! From June 20 to the 22nd, we will showcase projects created by our Design Teams. We are so glad you took the time to visit as our Designers have some beautiful and inspiring projects to share with you today. We challenged them to create Wedding themed projects without using patterned paper. The designs you see were created exclusively with Clearsnap inks and Something Tattered stamps!

Today I'd like to share a lovely mixed media wedding tag I created featuring the gorgeous stamps from Something Tattered and Izink inks from Clearsnap.
To create the beautiful watercolored effect on the background, I mixed the Izink inks and water then applied the mixture on the background with a paintbrush.
The French Script Poetry and the Bling Images were layered stamping on the background using Something Tattered Dress and Tiara Set. I then distressed the edges with Art Daubers and Mix'd Media Inx. The Seam Bidning ribbons were colored with Izink inks.

The focal point of this tag is this elegant dress stamped with the same Something Tattered Dress and Tiara Set and Mix'd Media Inx. As the final touch, I added some flower and pearl embellishments on this wedding tag.
Hope you enjoyed my tag and are inspired to create something beautiful using these great products.

Hello Friends Card - Izink Inks

Hello, friends, welcome to CardMaker Blog Hop! I am so happy to be part of this blog hop and today I'd like to share a card I created featuring Izink inks distributed by Clearsnap.
Izink ink is a new acrylic based pigment ink. It's opaque and acid free. You can use it for scrapbooking and hobby craft projects. To start my project, I mixed Izink inks and water then use a brushpaint to apply the mixture on the background.
The background of the center panel was colored using the same technique as above except for the wavy pattern was stenciled using Colorbox Art Screen and Izink Spray. The sentiment on this card was stamped with Hero Arts stamp and Mix'd Media Inx.
Izink ink can be mixed either with water or alcohol and it works on all surfaces including paper, wood, chipboard, canvas, fabric and more. Remember to heat the ink when you apply on fabric for best result.

To finish off my card, I attached the Spellbinder die cut leaves and Prima Flowers with a Doily beneath the embellishments.

Hope you like my card and get a chance to try Izink inks. It's fun and the result is fantastic!

Supply List:
Izink Inks
Izink Spray
Clearsnap Stencils
Clearsnap Mix'd Media Chalk Ink
Clearsnap Spritzer
Hero Arts Stamp
Spellbinder Die
Prima Flowers
Foam Squares

Here is the complete list for this blog hop in case you need it.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving comment love. Hope you all enjoy your day. Happy crafting!

Summer Fun Mixed Media Mini Canvas Board

HAPPY SUMMER, friends! This week, we play with no rules at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - just get CREATIVE!

This was my children's first week of summer break and we couldn't wait to make some fun projects. I created three mixed media canvas boards for my children to display on their desks.

Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps Mini Blueprints are perfect for these 2" X 2" mini canvases. I first
brushed the Gesso on the Tissue Wrap Paper, let dry then stamped the mini blueprints using Tuxedo Black ink on the wrap paper. The background of these canvas boards was colored with Distress Paints.
I tore the wrap paper around the image and pasted it on the colored canvas board using Gel Medium. Then embossed the same image and colored it with Distress Paint. Cut and adhered the image on the canvas with Foam Squares.

The crackle paint was applied around the image and the pigment ink was used to distress the edges of the canvas.

I love these beautiful and vibrant colors and cute images. My children are so happy to have these mini canvas boards displayed on their desk. Hope you enjoy them, too.
