Mixed Media Art Journal Page with Izink Inks

Hey, my dear blog friends! Are you ready for the new challenge? From soft buttery yellow to electric neon – this week Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge DT member Anna-Karin challenges you to be inspired by yellow!

I created the spring art journal pages using my favorite yellow inks.

Yellow reminds me of the beautiful sunshine in the garden in the spring. So I colored the background of these journal pages with Gelatos and Izink inks water mixture in various colors and mostly in yellow.

There are some different sizes of heart that were cut from Heidi Swapp paper using The Simon Says Stamp Die Cut and connected with stitches.

Tim Holtz Life Quotes Remnant Rubs sentiment was added on the tissue wrap and glued on the page using modeling paste.

I love to have some pretty butterflies in the garden. These butterflies were stamped, embossed and die cut.

Join us for this week "YELLOW" challenge since Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $50 gift voucher that will go to a random entry chosen by Random Generator. You might also be on our Friday Designer Spotlight. Have fun!

I really appreciate you stop by my blog and hope you all have a wonderful week.

Art Journal with Izink Inks

Hey, friends, hope you all enjoyed your week. Today, I'd like to share the some art journal pages I'm working on using Izink inks. I've had so much fun playing the new colors I received two weeks ago and loved the beautiful result they achieved.

Izink ink is acrylic based pigment ink and it is acid free. You can use on your scrapbooking and hobby craft projects. Here are some background pages I created using Izink inks.

On the first art journal pages I also used ColorBox® Mini Molding Mats to create the background patterns. The Mini Molding Mats are 2" x 2" strips and easy to clean and store. The mats can be used on polymer clay or foil to create dramatic images.

I also got some free time to play drawing on my art journal pages. Here are some illustrations on the pages without journaling. I'll do some journaling soon.

The Izink inks are fun to play with and the colors are very beautiful. You may check Clearsnap for more product information.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a fantastic weekend!

Be An Individual

Hello, my dear crafty friends, this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we have a "BIG STAMP" challenge - whether it is a background, large image, pattern, or maybe just a big stamp pad – this week is a ll about the big stamp.

I altered a large heart shaped wall hanging with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp.

I started this project with cutting and pasting the patterned paper from Heidi Swapp Serendipity Cardstock Collection on the 10" chipboard heart and and stamped the sentiment with Tim Holtz Cling Stamp and Memento Ink Pad Tuxedo Black. .

The Tim Holtz Arrows Adornments Metal Charm, Prima Flowers and Say It in Crystals were attached on this project.

I loved this simple and beautiful result and hung this piece on the wall in my craft room. This wall hanging reminds me to amaze myself everyday and some how also reminds me "Did I miss something on this piece?" Yes.. probably a little bit of  mixed media elements.

I took this piece from the wall the redo the sentiment - applied the Gesso on the tissue wrap and stamped the sentiment on it. I also added some modeling paste for more texture and Color Shine on the background.
Here is the final result and I love  it!  ^_^

Join us for ths week's challenge since Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $50 gift voucher that will go to a random entry chosen by Random Generator. Have fun and good luck!

Thank you so mh for stopping by and hope you all have a wonderful week.

Mixed Media Tags with Gelatos

Let's have fun at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, my dear crafty friends. Our DT member Tracy suggested “winged things” as the theme this week. Would you use a favorite bird stamp? Add fairy wings to something? Create a tag featuring a spring scene? accent a scrapbook page with butterflies? There are so many possibilities from airplanes to angel’s wings…

I created two mixed media tags with butterflies for this spring.

It is always so fun to create spring projects with flowers and butterflies. I cut two watercolor paper tags, and colored the background with Gelatos and water mixture. You can also use the pre cut #8 manila tag.

After pasting the cheese cloth with Gel Medium, I attached the Prima Flowers and some vintage trinkets on these two tags.

The printed sentiment was cut from the Cosmo Cricret stickers. The Tim Holtz Idea-ology Alpha Parts in Ransom were also attached on this tag.

Love the beautiful colors of Gelatos and the great textures of modeling paste and cheese cloth.

The same techniques and similar products were used on my second tag.

I have a goal to make 100 simple and fun tags in 2014 as they are just like the smaller version of my art journal pages to record the colors and techniques I am having fun with. There are already 28 tags and these two tags will be the number 29 and 30. Love what I've completed so far.
