Mixed Media Dollhouse Chipboard Album

Hey, my friends, oh.. I cannot believe it is almost the end of 2014 already. It's been an extremely busy year to me this year. We moved and lot of stuff still needs to be organized. This week, we also have our final challenge of 2014 at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Anything Goes. Please join us for this fun challenge and create anything you like.

I created a mixed media cover for a Dollhouse album which will be the album to document our moving.

I love all the fabulous Prima Flowers embellishments that I received recently so decided to use them on the cover for this Dallhouse Chipboard Album.

The texture on the background of the cover was created using Texture Paste White Sand after the Heavy Gesso was applied.

Facetten- Lack Crackling Colour was covered on the windows and the door for crackling effect.

I really enjoy all these beautiful and fun embellishments. I hope you like my project and got inspired to create.

Mixed Media Canvs - Road Trip

Hey, friends, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.  With the holidays approaching, now is the time to get ready for travel. This week,  Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge want to see your creations inspired by TRANSPORTATION. Trains, planes, automobiles, and even a boat – how are you getting around these days? Whether inspired by the metal and gears, intrigued and wanting to create a steampunk jalopy, or perhaps wishing someone a bon voyage.

Our family loves road trips so I created this mixed media canvas to display with the souvenirs that we got during our trips.

To prepare the caves, I applied a layer of Gesso on the background. The texture on the edges of this canvas was made using Tim Holtz Layering Stencil and Modeling Paste.  I pasted some Tim Holtz plastic letters to create the sentiment.

Prima Flowers mail box embellishments and the road sign were attached using heavy structure gel.

I embossed the tag with Tim Holtz Embossing Folders and distressed it with Distress Inks. The image was stamped using Simon Says Stamp Road Trip and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

As a final touch, I randomly dabbed Distress Paint on the edges of this canvas.

Holiday Cards

Hey, my dear crafty friends, hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving weekend. I had a great time with my family on Thanksgiving day, and got some crafty haul on Black Friday. For more holiday fun, we are making holiday cards this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Whether it is homemade cards, gift tags, or gift wrap there is a lot of making and giving this time of year!

I created two simple cards with stamped images as the sample for my children to make some holiday cards for their teachers.

My children want to make some fun and colorful holiday cards for their teacher so I created these two cards as the sample. The image on the first card was stamped with Tim Holtz Gingerbread House Sketch Stamp, and colored with Distressed Markers and Ranger Stickles Glitter Glue.

For my second card, I stamped the image with Memento black ink and Tim Holtz Type Chart stamp, and splattered the watercolor with Aquash Brush on the image. Both of these cards were distressed using Distress Inks and Art Daubers.

The sentiments were stamped using Tim Holtz Simple Saying Stamps and Memento Black ink.

These two cards are so fun and easy to make. And my children love them.
I hope you like them and get a chance to make some holiday cards for your loved ones.
