Say It with Stamps

Hey, my dear blog friends, thank you so much for joining our STAMPember blog hop last week. I had so much fun visiting your blogs and seeing all the awesome creations. This week, at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we challenge you -- "Say It with Stamps" -- from phrases to words to simple alphabets, we want to see your creations with all those letter, word, and phrase sentiment stamps this week.

I was inspired to use a stamp on the layout for my summer vacation.

It's our first time seeing glaciers and eating reindeer sausage pizza during our family trip to Alaska this summer. These are really amazing and unforgetable memories. I decided to use this Tim Holtz stamp which has a perfect sentiment for my layout with a photo of my children that was taken in Anchorage.
On this layout, the background was sprayed with the Studio! acrylic paint and water mixture using Simon Says Stamp Blocked Circile stencil.  I layered the pieces of designer paper, jornaling cards, doily and vellum under the photo.
The background also stamped with ColorBox chalk ink and TCW numeral stencil and Prima Flower arrowhead stencil. I used machine to sew the cute letter stickers on the washi tape and added some wood veneers to add some more interest.

Thank You

Hey, guys, I'd like to share a project that I made for Clearsnap featuring ColorBox® Dye Ink and some fantastic products from Clearsnap. As the air is crisp and leaves are changing, let's make some fall crafts.
The ColorBox® Dye Ink is archival quality, fast-drying and permanent. On this card, I used the new colors from Clearsnap and they are my favorite colors: Suede and Irish.
To start this card, I stamped the fall flower image using rubber satmp and Colorbox dye ink in suede color. ColorBox® Stylus and Tips work perfectly with ColorBox® Dye Ink to distress the edges. The soft white tips are also great for blending colors in direct-to-paper projects.
I used water color brush to apply ColorBox® Petal Point Pigment Inks on the stamped image and the colors are gorgeous. Dye ink will not smear when moistened so it is perfect for watercoloring.
When mixed with water, dye ink made beautiful color on the seam binding.
Here the button was coated with dye ink and Top Boss® Embossing Powder. I love the pretty texture and sparkle.
I applied Glue Gloss and Fairy Dust Glitter by Donna Salazar on the colored image to add a little magic. The glitter is packaged in very cute glass shaker bottle and ready to sprinkle onto any project. Love the fantastic fairy dust effect.
For the supplies I used on this project, please check here. I really appreciate that you stop by. Hope you all enjoy the weather and happy crafting!

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® Blog Hop

Hi, Simon Says Stamp fans and my dear blog friends, welcome to our STAMPtember® blog hop. This week we have a special treat for you to celebrate our month-long stamp party during September!
Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an interest in exclusively selling rubber stamps. It didn’t take long until we realized we couldn’t stop there. During the past 11 years we celebrate rubber stamping in its full glory by giving access to people around the world to a one stop shop. Rubber stamps still remain the heart of our business and we are celebrating by hosting a STAMPtember® event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the greatness of rubber stamping. Part of the enticement of rubber stamping is that stamps can be used in creating or complementing ANYTHING! From stamping dates on bank documents and postage parcels in the early 18th century, rubber stamping has dramatically expanded to include card making, scrapbooking, mixed media, life documenting, art journaling, and many forms of altering and expressing art.
This week, our design team members and Shari Carroll have created many fabulous projects for you using Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® Art Journal Kit by Shari Carroll. Included in the kit are the following:
Ranger / Dyan Reavely Small Creative Journal
1 Blocked Circles Stencil designed by Shari Carroll (Made in the USA)
Ranger Multi Matte Medium
Ranger Gesso
Ranger Mini Mister
Ranger Craft Scraper
Ranger Altered Orange Paint
Ranger Charcoal Paint
Ranger Teal Paint
Kelly Purkey White Alphabet Stickers
Kelly Purkey White Label Stickers
1 Sheet Vintage paper from a dictionary that is over 100 years old
2 Off White Prima Flowers
2 Random Letter Alphabet Scrabble pieces
2 Tim Holtz Hinge clips
1 Roll of Tim Holtz Ruler Ribbon in original package

As a STAMPtember® bonus, if you purchase the kit in September, you will receive 2 random cling rubber stamps from Indigoblu. Please check the video for more information about this kit.

It was so exciting to receive this kit because all the elements in the box were awesome. I love those beautiful colors of acrylic paints especially that teal color is my favorite. As you can see lots of my creations used this gorgeous color.

I created a double journal page using this Ranger Small Creative Journal in the kit. It has a very sturdy cover and many pages of good quality paper inside. There are also some Simon Says Stamp exclusive products used on these pages such as those lovely butterfly die cuts and the leaf border. To start this project, I covered the pages with Gesso and colored the background with water mixed acrylic paint in teal color.

It's so fun to make this busy and lively background using stamps with chalk ink, and stencil with acrylic paint. I used the stencil to trace "&" on the old dictionary paper and cut it out to make the sentiment - "Keep Calm & Stamp On".

I love the gorgeous butterflies and leaf border so I attached them on the page. The modeling paste on the background and the Prima flowers added such a beautiful texture and accent on this page. Love the beautiful color of altered orange acrylic paint in this kit too, so I applied it on the flower to make it stand out.

I've enjoyed creating with the great collection in this art journaling kit and the awesome exclusive products from Simon Says Stamp. Please be sure to try these fun techniques and products when you get a chance.

Be Creative Everyday

Hello, my dear friends in blogland, so glad you are back. This month at Simon Says Stamp Blog, we have lots of events, inspirations and blog hops so please join us for the fun STAMPtember® !

On the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog this week, we challenge you do the experiment - you sure can stamp on plain white cardstock but what else can you stamp on? Fabric, vellum, patterned paper, canvas, and wood are just a few examples! Grab a stamp and show us what surface you choose for your project.
After receiving the Surfacez ink pads, the new multi-surface inks, from Clearsnap I have tried them on plastic, glass, metal, shrink film, and I am very happy with the result. Surfacez is a solvent ink pad that works on mulitple surfaces, dries quickly, and it is permanent once dry. I always love to try new materials and products so I have to stamp on as many different surfaces as I can. It's reall fun!

So on this project, I decided to use Surfacez ink on fabric, wood, canvas, button and ribbon. To decorate the cover of this Heidi Swapp Wood Album, I first applied Gesso on the cover and pasted a piece of patterned paper from Prima. The background was colored with Gelatos and all the cavas embellishments were colored with Gelatos and Heidi Swapp Color Shine.

I stamped the Surfacez inks on canvas and ribbon in Scarlet color, on prima flower in Caribbean and safari color, on button in black color, and on wood cloth pin in Berry color. They all look wonderful!
The stamp I used here on this project were Tim Holtz cling rubber stamp, Simon Says clear stamp and Glitz clear stamp.

My suggestion for the best result when using Surfacez Ink on these surfaces is appling a thin layer of Gesso before stamping if it is needed.

Oh, and don't be afraid of trying these multi-surface permanent inks becuase you can always clean it with Surfacez Cleaner. Surfacez cleaner is made to clean the Surfacez ink from stamps and any other solvent or water based inks as well.
Supply List:
Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $50 gift voucher that will go to a random entry so be sure to play along with us for this week's challenge. We would aslo like to see your project being featured on our Friday Desinger Spotlight.
I really appreciate that you stop by. Have an awesome day!!

NCAA Stamps and Molding Mats from Clearsnap

Hey, guys, I'd like to share two DT projects I made for Clearsnap this week. My first project featuring the fun stamp from Jimbo Lojik and the new NCAA licensed stamps from Clearsnap. As NCAA just kicked off the regular season, please join us to show your school spirit with our university themed stamps and other awesome products!

To start this project, I used the ColorBox® Art Screens to emboss the background of this tag. Another layer of background was stamped with Chalk Ink and Rollagraph Design Wheel. The University of Texas at Austin images were embossed using Top Boss Embossing Powder and Watermark Ink.
You can also decorate banners, books, gift bags and more with exciting images from your favorite university.

The "Howdy" stamp from Jimbo Lojik (available on September 30, 2013) is perfect for the theme so I embossed and attached it on the tag. Jimbo Lojik has more hilarious stamp sets and all of them make me laugh.

If you are interested in the supply list, please check my post here at Clearsnap.

The second project is an altered box that I used Molding Mats and Magic Stamp to decorate box for my button collection.

The Molding Mats and Magic Stamp are so easy and fun to play with. To make this project, I simply applied various colors from ColorBox Pigment Ink pad on the Molding Mat then stamped the beautiful pattern on the box to make the background.

To make the Magic Stamp, simply heat - press - ink and stamp. I cut a squre of the foam and heated it using a heat tool. Then I pressed the foam on a clip to make a cute swirl pattern. The tip here is I attached the foam stamp on a Stylus using temporay glue.  It's much easier to stamp on the box with the Stylus.

Happy Monday, my friends, hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Today, we have a new challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Embossing challenge - since it’s STAMPtember let's have something embossed on our projects. From dry embossed paper to creating a resist effect with clear embossing powder, extra fine embossing powder to melted UTEE in a pot there are many ways to emboss.

I was inspired to make a layout with some fun emobssed circles using Zing! embossing powder.
I love to make layouts for children since there are always many fun elements can be added on. The background here was made using Natalie's favorite colors. In the photo on this layout, Natalie was so happy and ready to go shopping. So I wanted to make this background a beautiful day.

I applied some Crackle Paint and Modeling Paste on this 12" X 12" canvas to make the pretty texture. The butterflies were made of shrinky film using Sizzix stamp, die cut and Surfacez ink.
Natalie's photo was decorated with Prima Flowers and embellishments. There are many layers and I love the cute wreath made with Simon Says Stamp Danville Wreath Craft Die.
Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $50 gift voucher  as always that will go to a random entry chosen by Random Generator. So be sure to make your project and submit to Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
For more inspiration, please check all our designers' beautiful projects at Simon Says Stmap Monday Challenge. Can't wait to see what you are going to create for this challenge. Have fun!

Some more Layouts - WOYWW

Happy WOYWW, everyone. During the Labor Day long weekend, I managed to create some layouts using some scraps and leftover supplies while kids were helping to organize my craft room. I was so happy playing with them and see their creation since I've been hoarding some stuff and it's time for kids to play with them and make some albums/ journals for our summer trips.

These are stuff currently on my desk and I just finished these five simple layouts with final touches. Some pictures were used before as they were printed with two copies. I just picked the photos and combined with some cute patterned papers and embellishmenets.
Here is the first layout - Christopher loved his new hair cut.
The second layout - Our spring break trip.
The third layout - Natalie is ready to go shopping.
The 4th layout - I am enjoying my coffee.
The final layout - Our spring break trip.
I really appreciate that you stop by. Hope you all have fun visiting WOYWW around the world.
