Hi, my dear friends, welcome back for the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we challenge you to create with "SHIMMER AND SHINE". I was inspired to create an art journal page using the new STAMPtember® Exclusive Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp for the winter scene, and added some shimmer and shine with Simon Says Stamp Embossing Powder Gold and Ranger Snowflake Tinsel Embossing Powder.

I bound this art journal with watercolor paper in size 6" X 9", and I started this journal page with coloring the background using Distress Reinkers and water mixture. The background was stamped using the new Tim Holtz Exclusive Simon Says Stamp and Simon Says Stamp Ink Pads.

Those stamped images were embossed using Simon Says Stamp Gold Embossing Powder.

I pasted some seasonal sentiments using Tim Holtz Stickers.

I added some Rnager Snowflake Embossing Powder randomly on the page.

The snow on the bottom of the page was created using Prima Flowers Texture Paste and covered with Ranger Snowflake Embossing Powder.

Mixed Media Canvas Halloween Toxique

Hello, lovely crafty friends! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Let's have fun to play this week's challenge -It's Written in the Stars. Before I share my project for this week, I'd like to share the new Stamp and Stencil Set designed by the one and only Tim Holtz especially for STAMPtember® at Simon Says Stamp Store!! These sets are available for a limited time and once they have sold out they won't be replaced!

For the challenge this week, I was inspired to create a Halloween mixed media canvas and used Tim Holtz Sizzix Die Moon and Stars and Idea-Ology Halloween Ephemera Pack to decorate it.

I started this project with applying crackle paint on this 4" X 6" canvas. After the crackle was dry, I added the Distress Paints on the background of the canvas.

The Halloween images were outlined using Faber-Castell Big Brush Black. I die cut those stars using Tim Holtz Sizzix Die Crescent Moon and Stars and cardboard. Those stars were colored using Distress Paints, distressed and pasted on the canvas with Tombow Glue,

I attached cheese clothe, a small glass, a metal band and some sentiment stickers on this canvas. Some rub on images were added for the final touch. I really enjoyed creating this mixed media piece for the coming Halloween decoration and hope you like it, too.
