Hello, my beautiful crafty friends, welcome back for the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "WINTER BLUES" - simply add something blue on your creation!
I was inspired to create a mixed media card using Sakura Koi Watercolors on the background and stamped the trees with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad.
To start this project, I trimmed the kraft card stock to make the card base in size 4.25" X 5.5". I pasted a piece of white card stock that is 4" X 5.25 on the card base', then distressed a piece of corrugate paper that was colored using Koi Watercolors and pasted on the white card stock.
On a piece of watercolor paper, I colored it with Koi watercolor using blue color scheme and die cut it with Simon Says Stamp Snowburst Wafer Die, then ripped and layered it on the corrugate paper.
The top layer is a piece of watercolor paper that was watercolored on the background using Koi Watercolor, and stamped with the tree images using Distress Ink pad and Tim Holtz Great Outdoor stamp.
I pasted some die cut snowflakes and a stamped sentiment using the same stamp set and inked. The hemp cord, tiny bells and blue glitters were added as the final touch.
It's great fun to create this card with the beautiful blue colors scheme using different medias and I hope this inspired you to create with us for this week's "WINTER BLUES" challenge. I can't wait to see what you make!
