Mixed Media Tag Dry Embossing Halloween

Hello lovely crafty friends, welcome back for this week's new challenge! Our theme at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week is "DRY EMBOSSING" As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Tim Holtz. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

I was inspired to create a mixed media Halloween tag using Tim Holtz Sizzix Lumber 3D Fades Embossing Folder on the background and decorated it with Tim Holtz Geo Halloween Thinlits Dies and Idea-Ology Skulls and Pumpkins.

To start this project, I dry embossed the wood grain background on the watercolor paper using Tim Holtz Lumber 3D Fades Embossing Folder and Big Shot. The embossed watercolor paper was trimmed and pasted on the size 8 tag, then distressed with the blender and different colors of Distress Ink Pads. I outlined the tag using a black brush pen. 

On a piece of Yupo paper, I colored with various shades of Alcohol Ink. The Geo Owl and Pumpkin were die cut and glued on the colored Yupo paper. I adhered the owl and pumpkin on tag with double sided tapes. The Halloween sentiment chip and some stickers and were attached on the tag. I added some hardware embellishments on the tag to finish off this project.
