Mixed Media Christmas Tag Stitch It Up

Hello, my blog friends, welcome back for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, out theme is "STITCH IT UP". You can add some stitches to your creation. You can use real, faux or die cut. I was inspired to create a mixed media Christmas tag using Tim Holtz Christmas Rubber Stamps Doodle Greetings to decorate the tag and embellished Idea-Ology Ephemera Pack Christmas Snippets with stitches on it.

To start this project, I applied Modeling Paste over the Tim Holtz Layering Stencil on this size 8 tag using a palette knife. The tag was colored using Distress Paint after the stenciled texture was dry on the background. On a piece of heavy card stock I stamped the wreath image and heat embossed it with the clear embossing powder. It was colored with Distress Paints, cut and added stitches with a sewing machine .

I also added stitches on two pieces of embellishments from Idea-Ology Ephemera Christmas Snippets. Two metal Christmas Token were colored and attached on the tag.

I randomly added some Christmas sentiments using Tim Holtz Christmas Remnant Rubs as the final touch. I've always loved the beautiful effect of stitches on many of my creations, and hope to see your project with some stitches, too. I can't wait to see what you create.
