Hi, my dear blog friends, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Let's play the new challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week. We challenge you to create with "FRAME UP" this week.
I was inspired to create a wall hanging using Tim Holtz Idea-ology Frame Panel, and decorated it with Kaisercraft Wooden Embellishments and Tim Holtz Stamp Random Quotes.
I started this project with glueing this wooden panel and the frame together, then colored the framed panel with Distress Paints. To create the antique and vintage look, I first applying the paints on the framed panel with dark color scheme, then layering with lighter colors.
The sentiment was stamped on the panel using Simon Says Black Ink and heat embossed with Simon Says Clear Embossing Powder.
I die cut the butterflies with Donna Salazar Butterfly Dies and distressed them using Simon Says Lake Shores Ink and an Art Dauber, then outlined them with a black Faber Castell Big Brush Pen.
The Kaisercraft wooden gears were colored with Distress Paints and glued on the panel using Tombow Mono Glue.
I added some beautiful Prima Flowers as the final touch. I really love the beautiful vintage effect of the Distress Paints on this panel. And this framed panel is the perfect size for this quote stamp. Hope this project inspired you to created with us at Simon says Stamp. Join us and have fun!
