Mixed Media Square Canvas

Hi, my lovely friends, welcome back for the new challenge this week. I hope your new year is off to a great start. At Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "BE SQUARE". You can create a square card or anything use "square" elements. 

I was inspired to create a mini square canvas with Prima Flowers Grungy Butterflies and Tim Holtz Distress Paints. 

On this 4" X 4" mini canvas, I started applying the modeling paste to create the texture, and some Distress Paints for the background colors. After the paints were dry, I added the crackle paint for the crackle effect. 

The metal embellishments were attached on the canvas using Tombow Mono Glue, colored with Distress Paints and distress with Faber-Casgtell Big Brush Pens. 

I really love the beautiful metal elements so I added two butterflies and a word band that were colored with Distress Paints on this canvas.
