Mixed Media Tag Recycle Opportunity

Hello, my lovely friends, welcome back for the new challenge. I hope you all had a great weekend. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "Recycle Something". We would like you to recycle something! Maybe use some ribbon or twine from a gift you received or decorate a carton or jar, there is so much ‘rubbish’ that we can alter into something beautiful and help to save the planet at the same time!

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using the recycled bubble wrap, book page, wire and cardboard, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp Opportunities and Idea-Ology Quotation Metallic Stickers. To start this project, I first pasted a piece of torn cardboard and bubble wrap on the tag using Tombow Mono Glue.

The tag and embellishments were colored with various shades of Distress Paints. I also added a piece of torn magazine paper and made a wired heart to attach on the tag.

The sentiment was stamped and cut to paste on the tag. I also stenciled some sentiments with Tim Holtz Layering Stencil and Distress Paint, and added some Idea-Ology Quotations Metallic Stickers. To finish off the tag, I outlined the tag with a brush pen and Ground Expresso Distress Paint.

Mixed Media Tag Something New

Happy new year! My talented crafty friends, I hope you all had great holidays and wish you all a wonderful 2019. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "USE SOMETHING NEW".  It doesen’t necessarily have to be brand new, but something new to you. Please say what it is in the write up of your post.

As it is the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a particular company. This time we are all using our very own Simon Says Stamp Products. You don’t have to use them to join in, but if you have them we would love to see them used!

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using the new Simon Says Clear Stamp Forever and Always You are Loved and Simon Says Stamp Everyday Words on a Line Wafer Die to embellish the tag. To start this project, I applied some modeling paste on the tag to create the texture. Distress Paints were applied to the tag. 

On a piece of watercolor paper, I stamped the New Simon Says Clear Stamp Always and ForeverYou are Loved image and sentiment and heat embossed them with the clear embossing powder and a heat tool. I die cut the sentiment "you are amazing" using the new Simon Says Stamp Everyday Words on a Line Wafer Die and Big Shot. The embellishments were attached on the tag using Tombow Mono Glue and foam tabs. 

I adhered some Prima Flowers and embellishments on the tag. To finish off the project, I added the sequins randomly on the tag.
