Mixed Media Art Journal Stencils Adventure

Hello, my beautiful crafty friends, welcome back for the new challenge this week. I hope you all had great time during the weekend. Our theme for this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is "USE MORE THAN ONE STENCIL". Of course you can choose to use store bought stencils or make your own. 

I was inspired to create a mixed media art journal with Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Mosaic, Harlequin and Simon Says Stencil Leafy Frame Sending Sunshine for the patterns on the background.

To start this art journal page, I sprayed Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain with various colors over the Tim Holtz Layering Stencils Mosaic and Harlequin for the background patterns. For the leave patterns around the left side of the page, I dabbed Tim Holtz Distress Paint Mustard Seed over the Simon Leafy Frame stencil then traced the leave pattern with a green color pencil.

The metal embellishments were colored with Tim Holtz Distress Paints. I die cut the butterflies and a  bicycle using Simon Says dies and Big Shot. All these embellishments were attached on the page with Tombow Glue. 

To finish off the project, I added some sentiments with Idea-Ology Quotations Stickers. I really enjoy used these stencils creating the beautiful background patterns on this page and hope you got inspired, too. Join us this week and show us how you apply stencils on your project! Mixed Media Gingerbread Man Tag STAMPtember

Hello, my dear blog friends, I am so happy you are back! STAMPtember® is a very special month in the Simon Says Stamp calendar. We celebrate it with lots of new products being released and different events happening over on the Simon Says Stamp Blog throughout the whole month of September. This week we are showcasing some new and fabulous STAMPtember® Products! Of course you can use whatever you like on your creations!

Our challenge theme at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is "STMAP IT ON" this week. We are welcoming the talented Terelisa Agosti aka BiglietTERRYa into the Designer Spotlight. Be sure to visit her blog for all the great inspiration!

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using the new Simon Says Clear Stamp Hip Ginger STAMPtember on Tim Holtz Etcetetra #8 Chipboard tag.

On this tag, I first applied some different shades of Distress Ink on the background and drew the white line around the tag using white Gelly Roll Pen. On a piece of watercolor paper, I stamped the gingerbread man and all the clothes and accessories. These stamped images were colored with watercolor paper and cut out using scissors. 

The gingerbread men were pasted with all the clothes and accessories using Tombow Mono Glue. I drew some white lines around the gingerbread men. The sentiment was stamped on the tag and heat embossed with white embossing power and a heating tool. 

I added some more sticker sentiments and stars gems on the tag to finish off this gingerbread tag. I just had so much fun creating this weird tag with these weird gingerbread men.
