Mixed Media Tag Halloween Take Flight



Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "TAKE FLIGHT". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using The Crafter's Workshop BLACK MODELING PASTE on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Sizzix GEO HALLOWEEN Thinlits Dies and Tim Holtz Idea-ology INDUSTRIAL GEARS Embellishments.


To start this project, I applied the black modeling paste on the size 8 tag using a palette knife. I attached the metal embellishments on the tag using Tombow Mono Glue. Some sentiments were added with Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers. 


I die cut the owl and bats using orange heavy card stocks and Big Shot machine. I glued these die cut owl and bats on a piece of black card stock and cut them out with a scissors. These dit cut embellishments were added on the tag using foam tapes.

Mixed Media Tag STAMPtember Drop The Mic



Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "STAMP IT". We would like you to use actual clear, cling, wood stamps, no digi images allowed this week. As it's STAMPtember® this month at Simon Says Stamp, this week we are all using some fabulous products from the latest Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® Release. Our guest designer is Debbie Emmons aka designingdiva_73 this month. Please visit her blog for all the fantastic creations and inspiration. 

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz MINI STENCIL SET 28 on the background, and decorated it with Simon Says Clear Stamps Drop The Mic and Tim Holtz Idea-ology INDUSTRIAL GEARS Embellishments. To start this project, I stenciled the background of the tag using Tim Holtz MINI STENCIL and Distress Spray. I distressed the edges of the tag using Art Daubers and Distress Ink Pad, then outlined the tag with a black brush pen.


I stamped the sentiment on the tag using the stamp from Simon Says Clear Stamps Drop The Mic and black ink pad. More sentiments were stamped on a piece of white card stock, cut and pasted on the tag. To finish off this project, I attached some Tim Holtz metal embellishments on the tag.

Mixed Media Tag Sparkle and Shine



Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "SPARKLE & SHINE". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia ORCHIDS AND CATS 12x12 Paper on the background, and decorated it with glitter butterflies using Simon Says Stamp Billow Butterfly Plate Wafer Die and Studio Light FAIRYTALE Glitter Paper Essentials.


I started this project with trimming the pattern paper from Stamperia ORCHIDS AND CATS 12x12 Paper and pasted it on the size 8 tag. I distressed the tag using the art dauber and Distress Ink Pad, and outlined it with a black pen. The cat was cut out from the same paper collection and pasted on the tag using foam tapes


I die cut the glitter butterflies using Studio Light FAIRYTALE Glitter Paper Essentials and Big Shot machine. The sentiments were added with Tim Holtz stickers and the quote chip. I attached some metal embellishments to finish off this project.

Mixed Media Tag Delicious Drinks Coffee or Tea

Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "DELICIOUS DRINKS". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Sizzix INTERTWINED 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder on the background, and decorated it with Spellbinders Coffee or Tea Etched Dies and Tim Holtz Idea-ology STITCHED SCRAPS Embellishments. 

I started this project with embossing the background of this size 8 tag using Tim Holtz Sizzix INTERTWINED 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder and Big Shot. I distressed the tag using Art Daubers and Distress Ink Pads. I outlined the tag with a black brush pen. 


On a piece of watercolor paper, I die cut the drink embellishments with Spellbinders Coffee or Tea Etched Dies and Big Shot. I colored these drink embellishments with watercolors and watercolor brushes. I adhered the Tim Holtz Idea-ology STITCHED SCRAPS Embellishments and the drink embellishments on the tag. To finish off the DELICIOUS DRINK project, I added some sentiments with Tim Holtz Idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHTS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology METALLIC Sticker Book.

Mixed Media Tag Favorite Technique Stencil


Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "USE YOUR FAVORITE TECHNIQUE". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 55 and Ranger DYLUSIONS INK SPRAY SET OF 6 Dyan Reaveley on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology PAPER DOLLS MINI 
and Tim Holtz Idea-ology GAUGE FRAMES Embellishments.


To start this project, I sprayed the Dylusions Spray with different colors over the Tim Holtz MINI STENCIL set 55 on the size 8 watercolor paper tag. I outlined the tag using a black pen. 

I attached the some metal embellishments on the tag with Tombow Mono Glue. The mini dolls were colored with watercolor brushes and pasted on the tag with the double sided foam tape. I added some sentients with Tim Holtz stickers to finish off this project that used my favorite stenciling technique.

Mixed Media Tag Happy Birthday AALL


Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week we are inviting you to our 13th Birthday Party! As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous from AALL & Create. Simon Says Stamp have generously increased the prize this week to a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store as it’s our birthday You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! 

Our guest designer this month is the lovely Carrie Swift aka redfire_studios. Please visit her blog for all the wonderful creations and inspiration!


Our theme this week is "HAPPY BIRTHDAY". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using AALL & Create BAKE IT A7 Clear Stamps to create the cute girl image and sentiments with Tsukineko VersaFine ONYX BLACK Ink Pad on the background. The image was colored using Zig Clean Color 30 COLOR SET A Real Brush.


To decorate the tag, I attached Tim Holtz Idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHTS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology ODDS AND ENDS Embellishments. I randomly stamped the text on the background using Prima Marketing MESSY Finnabair Clear Stamp and the black ink pad. I then finished off this project with outlining the tag using a black brush pen.
