Mixed Media Spooky Halloween Tag



Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "HALLOWEEN/ SPOOKY". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Distress HALLOWEEN MICA STAIN SET 3 Ranger on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps MONSTROUS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology CURIOSITIES Sticker Book.

I started this project with applying Tim Holtz Distress HALLOWEEN MICA STAIN SET 3 Ranger on the background of the size 8 tag. I distressed the tag using the black ink pad and blending tools, then outlined the tag using a black pen. The Halloween embellishments from Tim Holtz Idea-ology CURIOSITIES Sticker Book and Tim Holtz Idea-ology HALLOWEEN Ephemera, and the window frame were layered and attached on the tag. 


On a piece of watercolor paper, I stamped the Halloween skull image using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps MONSTROUS and the black ink pad, then watercolored it with Zig Clean Color 30 COLOR SET A 
Real Brush. The image was cut and adhered on the tag using double sided tapes. I added some metal embellishments to finish off this spooky Halloween tag. Hope you like it and get a chance to join us this week. Happy crafting!

Mixed Media Halloween Tag Fabulous Fall Moodboard



Hey, my dear crafty friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "FABULOUS FALL MOOD BOARD"and the lovely Zoey has made this gorgeous mood board for us to use. I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Sizzix LUMBER 3D Embossing Folder on the background and decorated it with Tim Holtz Sizzix FALL FOLIAGE Thinlits Die and Tim Holtz Idea-ology CURIOSITIES Sticker Book.


I started this project with cutting the size 8 tag using the heavy black cardstock and embossing the tag with  Tim Holtz Sizzix LUMBER 3D Embossing Folder. On a piece of watercolor paper, I die cut the autumn leaves using Tim Holtz Sizzix FALL FOLIAGE Thinlits Die and colored these leaves with watercolors. 


I layered the Tim Holtz Baseboard Window Frame and the Halloween Paper Doll, and arranged the colored leaves around the frame. Some sentiment stickers were added from Tim Holtz Idea-ology CURIOSITIES Sticker Book. I attached more spooky elements from the same sticker book and some metal embellishments to finish off this FABULOUS FALL MOOD BOARD. Hope you like it and get a chance to join us. Happy Crafting!

Mixed Media Spooky Halloween Tag



Welcome back my friend! It's so great to have your create with us again. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and are ready for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "SPOOKY". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp 2019 Monster Reunion on the background and Idea-Ology Halloween Quote Chips for sentiments.


I started this project with trimming a piece of watercolor paper and pasted it on the size 8 tag. The images were stamped on the tag using Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp Monster Reunion and the black ink pad, then heat embossed with the clear embossing powder and a heat tool. 


I colored the images with Daniel Smith watercolors and watercolor brushes. On the background I randomly stamped some text print with Distress ink pads. Some Halloween images were added using Tim Holtz Halloween Remnant Rubs. To finish off this project, I pasted two Halloween Quote Chips.
