Mixed Media Tag Owl Bird Speak Out

Welcome back to the challenge this week, my friends! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge  our theme is "INSECTS and/or BIRDS". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Birch on the background, and decorated it with Prima Marketing Owl ReDesign Decor Transfers and Dina Wakley Media Speak Out Chipboard Shapes.

To start this project, I created the woods background with different shades of Distress Ink Pads and blending tools over Tim Holtz Layering stencil. I heat embossed the background with the clear embossing powder. The birch woods and textures were colored and created using watercolors. I distressed the edges of the tag with blending tools, and outlined the tag with a black pen.

I added the owl using rub on sticker from Prima Marketing OWL ReDesign Decor Transfers. The sentiments were added with the colored chipboard and some stickers. Some metal embellishments were attached to finish off this owl tag. Hope you like my project and got inspired to join us this week. Happy crafting!
