Mixed Media Tag Fun and Quirky Katzelkraft

Hello, my talented crafty friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "FUN and QUIRKY". As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Katzelkraft. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Katzelkarft Giraffe in the Cloud Rubber Stamp and colored it with Tim Holtz Flip Top Distress Paint then added sentiments with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Snarky Small Talk Stickers. 

To start this project, I trimmed the paper from Tim Holtz Backdrop collection and pasted it on this size 8 tag. The background of the tag was colored using watercolor brushes and Distress Paints. I used sponge dauber to dab some Gesso on the sky. I stamped the Giraffe in the Cloud image on the tag, and same image on a piece of watercolor paper. The image on the watercolor paper was colored, cut and pasted on the tag using the foam tapes. 

The sentiments from Tim Holtz Snarky Small Talk were added on the tag. To finish off this project, I distressed the edges of the tag and outlined it with a blending tool, Distress Paints and a black pen.
