Mixed Media Magic Tag Layer It

Hello, my talented crafty friends, welcome back!  Hope you all enjoyed your weekend and are ready for the challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "LAYER IT". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using the Stamperia Cosmos Paper and Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Odds and Ends Embellishments and Idea-Ology Metallic Sticker Book. 

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Tim Holtz and we are welcoming the lovely Autumn aka SewPaperPaint into the Designer Spotlight. Make sure to visit her blog for all the awesome inspiration!

To start this project, I trimmed the patterned paper from Stamperia Cosmos Paper and pasted it on the tag as the background. The tag was distressed with Distress Ink pad and a blending tool, then outlined with the black Big Brush Pen. The owl was cut out from the same paper collection. I also cut some the sentiment and more images, and layered them with the owl using double sided tapes. 

I added some metal embellishments and sentiment stickers on the tag. I splattered some Gesso and water mixture using the brush. To finish off this project, I splattered some more metallic ink and water mixture randomly on the tag. It's really fun to layered the embellishments and created the dimension on this tag.
