Mixed Media Tag Not a Card Adventure Awaits

Hello, my dear crafty friends, welcome back for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "NOT A CARD". It is Tracey’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight. If you haven't visited her blog please go check it out for all the awesome inspiration and creations. 

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps 2020 Faded Type on the background and decorated it with Prima Marketing Grungy Butterflies Finnabair Mechanicals.

The background of the tag was colored with Distress Paints and heat embossed using the embossing powder and a heat tool. I stamped the faded print on the tag using Tim Holtz Faded Type cling stamp and different colors on the ink pads. 

The clip, butterfly and gear embellishments were colored using Distress Paints and added on the tag using the glue. I splattered some Gesso and water mixture on the background. To finish this project, I adhered some sentiments with Tim Holtz Quotation Stickers and Chips.

Watercolor Postcard Create a Scene

Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back for another new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "CREATE A SCENE". Please join us and play along!

As you may know, the  Simon Says Stamp Store is accepting new orders, but have longer shipping times for the moment due to the coronavirus. With this in mind we have made the difficult decision to suspend the $50 voucher for this challenge.

We know that many people are staying safe at home and we would love it if you would continue to enter the challenges and have fun! We are all in this together!

I was inspired to create a postcard using Simon Says Clear Stamps Your Light and colored it with Daniel Smith Blues Hand Poured Watercolor and Royal Langnickel ZEN Watercolor Brush Set. 

I really enjoyed coloring the stormy weather with the watercolors and loved the cute light house. The sentiments were added from the same stamp collection and some were from Tim Holtz Quotations Stickers.
