Mixed Media Tag Love is in the Air CaraBelle

Hello all my talented and lovely friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we challenge you to create something related to "LOVE IS IN THE AIR". We are showcasing Carabelle Studio Products, you don’t have to use them to join in, but if you have them we would love to see them used.

Our guest designer this month is talented Stacy Hutchinson, aka Tattered Nest Designs. Be sure to check her blog for the fabulous projects and the great inspiration she creates. 

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Carabelle Studio Des Ronds Cling Stamp for the background pattern and Simon Says Stamp Cupids Heart Wafer Die for more texture on the tag.

To start this project, I stamped the background pattern using Carabelle Studio Des Ronds Cling Stamp and Simon Says Stamp Ink pads with three colors on this size 8 kraft tag. I then die cut the tag using Simon Says Stamp Cupids Hearts wafer die and Big Shot. There's a piece of watercolored paper was pasted under the die cut heart of the tag. 

I applied the crackle paint on the tag to create some texture. The edges of the tag were outlined using Sakura Pigma black pen. 

I pasted the feather embellishments that were stamped and die cut using Spellbinders Stamp and Die Set, and colored using Daniel Smith watercolors. The sentiments were added using Tim Holtz stickers. The clip and butterfly embellishments were attached. 

The Distress Paint and water mixture was splattered on the tag randomly as the final touch.
