Hello, my lovely blog friends, I hope you all had a great weekend. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge we challenge you to create with the theme "TAKE NOTE" Simply create a notebook, alter a notebook, or use notepaper, etc. And don't forget to check our guest design this month Stacy for her gorgeous creation.
I created a mixed media card with a note that was stamped using Tim Holtz Cling Stamp Mini Motivation and die cut using Simon Says Stamp Notebook Edges Wafer Die.
To start this project, I trimmed the white card stock and made this 4.25" X 5.5" card base. On a piece of watercolor paper that was trimmed slightly smaller than the card base, I randomly colored with Distress Spray Stain with various shades and rubbed on some text and image using Idea-Ology Elements Remnants Rubs. The watercolor paper was pasted on the card base. The card base was distressed the edges using Simon Says Stamp ink pad and an Art Dauber and Faber Castell Brush Pen.
I colored a piece of white card stock with the same Distress Spray Stain, then stamped it using Tim Holtz Mini Motivation Stamp then heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. This paper was die cut with Simon Says Stamp Notebook Edges wafer Die, and pasted on the card layered with a piece of cork using Tombow Adhesive Tabs.
I added some beautiful Prima Flowers, sequins and a sentiment from Tim Holtz stickers on the card to finish this project.
