Birds of a Feather Mixed Media Art Journal

Meihsia Liu Simply Paper Crafts mixed media art journal Birds of Feather Simon Says Stamp Tim Holtz 3

Hello, my lovely crafty friends, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and welcome back for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "BIRDS OF A FEATHER". I was inspired to make a mixed media art journal page with sprayed background using Tim Holtz Distress Mixed Media Spray and decorative bird images from Idea-Ology Botanical Layers Paperie.

This project was created on the an art journal I made using 6" X 9" watercolor paper. On the background of the page, I sprayed some pattered with Tim Holtz Layering Stencils using different shades of Distress Spray Stain. I distressed the edges of the page using an Art Dauber and Distress Ink. The edges were also outline using Faber Castell Big Pitt Pen black.

I added some flowers and bird images and sentiments with Tim Holtz Botanical Remnant Rubs on and a stylus on the background.

There are some Idea-Ology Botanical Layers Paperie images such as birds and flowers were layered and pasted on the journal page using dimensional foam tapes.

I sticked some more sentiments using Tim Holtz Big Chat Stickers on this journal page that were outline with Big PITT pen to finish off this project.

I hope this journal page with two beautiful birds inspires you to create with us this week. I am looking forward to seeing what you make. Happy crafting!
