Hello, my sweet crafty friends, I hope you all had a great weekend! The weather was nice after three cold days here in Dallas on Sunday. I really enjoyed the sun and the fall scene. For the challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we want to see your project with an "Animal/ Insect - Great or Small".
I was inspired to create a mixed media card with sprayed background using Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain and a cute panda using Simon Says Clear Stamp Cool Panda to brighten your day.
I trimmed the cream color card stock and made this a 4.25" X 5.5" card base. On the watercolor paper, I applied Daniel Smith watercolor over Tim Holtz Stencil Honeycomb using a pen brush. The colored watercolor paper was cut and pasted on the card base.
The panda and umbrella was stamped and colored with Simon black ink and watercolors. The corrugate paper was torn and colored with Distress Paint.
The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed using white embossing powder. I pasted these embellishments using Tombow Mono Glue and Tombow Adhesive Tab for dimensional effect.
