Distressed Mixed Media Tag Journey

Hello, my lovely friends, welcome back for the new challenge this week. At Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "DISTRESS IT". There are many ways to distress and age a project, from inking and sanding to scraping along the edges with a paper distresser or a sharp pair of scissors. 

I love to distress my creations for the vintage effect. On this tag, I distressed the edges of the tag with Tim Hotlz Tonic Paper Distresser and Ranger Ink Blending Tool.

I started this project with cutting the patterned paper from Tim Holtz Paper Stash Destination and pasted it on the Size 8 tag since the patterned paper is not thick and sturdy enough for the embellishments. 

The tag was distressed using the Blending Tool and Distress Ink Pads around the edges. I also distressed the tag with Distresser to make the vintage effect. 

The picture was distressed with the same method as the tag on the edges, then pasted on the tag using Tombow Adhesive tabs.

 I also added some distressed flowers and butterflies on the tag using Tim Holtz Botanical Layers and Tombow Mono Glue.
