Mixed Media Tag Courage Stenciled Rose Background

Hi, there, my lovely blog friends! This week, let's use "STENCILS"! At Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we want to see your creation with stencils.

I made a tag with stenciled background using Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Roses and Sakura Koi Watercolors, and added a Prima Flower on it.

To start this project, I first applied Sakura Koi watercolors with a brush pen over Tim Holtz Layering Stencil on the tag to create the background patterns. 

The sentiment was stamped twice using Tim Holtz Courage stamp and blue Distress Paint for the first time, then Simon Says Stamp black ink pad. I distressed the tag using distress tool and colored the distressed effect with the Faber-Castell Big Brush Pen. 

After adding Prima Flower and the sentiment stickers, I splattered the Gesso and watercolor mixture on the tag randomly. I really love the beautiful stenciled background and the great sentiment on this tag.

Mixed Media Card Vacation Mexico

Hello, my dear crafty friends, welcome back for the new challenge of Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week, our challenge theme is "Let's Take a Vacation!" I am so excited about our family goes to Mexico city and Cancun this summer since it's been 15 years since last time we went there.

I was inspired to created a mixed media card using Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp Explore Dream Discover and decorated with Prima Marketing Steampunk Gears.

This is a 4.25" X 5.5" card using Neenah card stock as the card base. On a piece of watercolor paper, I sprayed Tim Holtz Distress Sprays over the Layering Stencil. The colored watercolor paper was cut and sewn on the card base. I randomly stamped some text print and images on the background. 

The sentiment was stamped on the colored die cut circle and pasted on the card. I added the metal gear embellishments that were colored with Distress Paints on the card. 

The "Mexico" and "Cancun" were Tim Holtz Alpha Parts colored with Distress Paints. I glued theme on the card using Tombow Glue.
