Watercolor Postcard Midsummer Blues

Hey, my dear blog friends, welcome back for the new challenge. Our theme this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is "MIDSUMMER BLUES". I was inspired to create two postcards using Simon Says Stamp Suzy's Succulents Watercolor Prints and Daniel Smith Watercolor with some sentiments from Idea-Ology Quotations Metallic Stickers.

I watercolored these two prints using Daniel Smith watercolors and a watercolor brush. I always enjoy coloring the succulents and plants with the beautiful Daniel Smith ultimate mixing hand poured watercolors. After the watercolors were dry, on the first postcard, I added some blue Distress Glitter. On the second card, I glued some blue star sequins randomly.

These two watercolored postcards were added sentiments with Tim Holtz Quotation Stickers. I outlined the postcards using a black pen. To finish off this project, I applied a layer of Micro Glaze to seal and protect the watercolors on the postcards.

Watercolored Birthday Card Simon Says Stamp Exclusives

Hello, my dear friends, welcome back for the new challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week our theme is "HAPPY BIRTHDAY". As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using our very own Simon Says Stamp Exclusives You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

I was inspired to create a watercolored birthday card using Daniel Smith Ultimate Mixing Watercolor on Simon Says Stamp Suzy's Succulents Watercolor Prints. I colored all these images using the watercolor brush and Daniel Smith watercolors. I truly love these cute images on these prints and the beautiful colors on this watercolor palette.

I trimmed the heavy card stock, layered the watercolored prints and pasted theme together using double side tapes. Hope you like my birthday card and are inspired to try these Simon Says Stamp Watercolor Prints. Happy crafting!

Mixed Media Tag - Bright and Cheerful

Hello, my friends, I hope you all had a great weekend. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "Bright and Cheerful". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Etcetera #8 Tag Chipboard and embellished it with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps 2019 Eclectic Adverts.

To start this project, I applied the modeling paste on the background of the tag, then colored it using various shades of Distress Paint after the modeling paste was dry. On a piece of white heavy card stock, I splattered some Distress Resist Spray and blended some Distress Ink Pad color after the Resist Spray was dry. The colored card stock was pasted on the tag using the double side tape.

I stamped some images on a piece of white heavy card stock and colored them using watercolors. They were cut and pasted on the tag using foam tabs. To decorate the tag, I added some metal embellishments that were colored with Distress Paints.

I randomly added some rub on sentiments and outlined the tag using a black pen as the final touch. Hope you like my mixed media tag and got inspired to join us this week! I can't wait to see what you create!
