Mixed Media Art Journal Typography Be Mine

Hi, my talented blog friends, welcome back for the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "TYPOGRAPHY" - we are playing with letters on our project. Remember to check our guest designer Lucyna's blog for her fabulous creation if you haven't done so. 

I was inspired to create an art journal page with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp Valentines Silhouettes and decorated it with Prima Flowers.  On this watercolor paper art journal page, I first sprayed Dylusions sprays over Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Valentine and some random colors on the background.   

The typography image was stamped using Tim Holtz Valentine Rubber Stamp and the black ink pad. I then heat embossed and color the letters with Faber Castell big brush pen and Distress Paint Metallic color.  

Some die cut hearts and Prima Flowers were attached using Clear Adhesive Dots. I also added some sentiments with Tim Holtz Quotation Stickers. 

I really love this beautiful Tim Holtz Valentine typography image and the colors on the background of this journal page. I hope this project inspired you and I can't wait to see what you create for this week's challenge. Happy crafting!

Mixed Media Tag Add Red Andrea Inky Antics Happy Soul

Hello, blog friends, welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we challenge you to "ADD SOME RED" on your project. As it is the first Monday of the month the team are all using a particular brand/company. This week we are all showcasing some fabulous products from Inky Antics! Our talented teammate Andrea designs stamps for them and they are all so lovely! Please make sure to check them out. 

I was inspired to created a mixed media tag using the cute Inky Antics Sassy & Saucy Clear Stamp Set and colored it with Tim Holtz Distress Paint. On this size 8 tag, I started with applying the modeling paste with a palette knife to create some texture. The tag was colored with many different colors of Distress Paints on the background and outlined with black Distress Paint. 

The background was stamped with some random patterns using the stamps in the same stamp set and Distress Paints. I then rubbed on some sentiments and pasted some stickers. 

On a piece of watercolor paper, I stamped these adorable images with the black ink pad and heat embossed with the clear embossing powder. The images were colored with Distress Paints and a brush pen, then cut out and pasted on the tag.  A metal embellishment was colored with Distress Paint and pasted on the tag using Tombow Mono Glue.
