Mixed Media Tag Travel and Transport It

Hello my craft friends, hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Let's play the new challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Our theme is week is "TRANSPORT IT". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp Travel Ways and decorated it with Idea-Ology Quote Token.

I started this project by cutting this size 8 tag with the watercolor paper, then I colored the background with watercolors and brushes. After the watercolors were dry, I stamped the train and railroad image on the tag with Tim Holtz rubber stamps and the black ink pad. 

On a piece of white heavy card stock, I stamped the train and the sign images, heat embossed them with  the clear embossing powder, then cut and pasted them using foam tabs and Tombow Mono glue. 

I colored the metal embellishments with Distress Paints and glued them on the tag. Some sentiments were added on the tag using Tim Holtz Quotation Stickers. To finish off this project, I outlined the tag with a black brush pen.

Mixed Media Tag Transport It Travel

Hello, all my lovely crafty friends, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Let's have fun with the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "Transport It". You may include planes, trains, automobiles, boats, bicycles, hot air balloons, etc., in your project. 

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Sizzix 3D Foundry Texture Fades Embossing Folder for the texture on the background and decorated it with the images using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp Travel Ways.

To start this project, I cut a 3" x 6.25" tag with a piece of heavy white card stock, and embossed it with Sizzix 3D Foundry Texture Fades Embossing Folder and Big Shot.

The background of the tag was colored with Distress Ink pad and a blending tool for the metal-like texture. I distressed the edges of the tag using black Distress Paint. 

On a piece of white card stock, I stamped different vehicle images using the black ink pad, and heat embossed them using the clear embossing powder and a heat tool. The images were colored using Copic markers, cut and pasted on the tag using adhesive foam tabs for dimensions. 

I added a funny sticker sentiment and some random rub on images on the tag to finished of this project. Yes, I really need a long vacation :P
