Mixed Media Tag Thank You AALL & Create

Hey, my dear friends, it's so great to have you here for the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "THANKS/ THANKSGIVING".  As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from AAll and Create. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using AALL & Create Sunflower Power Stencil on the background and decorated it with Prima Marketing Grungy Butterflies.

To start this project, I first applied Gesso on the background of the tag. I then created the patterns using the blender and different colors of ink pad over AALL & Create Sunflower Power Stencil. The patterns was heat embossed using the clear embossing powder and a heat tool. 

I attached some metal embellishments on the tag. The final step was stamping and heat embossing the sentiment on a piece of white card stock, then cutting and pasting on the tag.

Mixed Media Tag Thank you / Thanksgiving

Hi, my talented crafty friends, it's time for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "Thanks/Thanksgiving". As we are celebrating Thanksgiving here in the US on November 22nd we thought it would be nice to have a challenge dedicated to being thankful!

I was inspired to created a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Sizzix Celebration Words Script Thinlits Die for the sentiment, and Fall Foliage Thinlits Die to decorate the tag.

I started this project with applying various colors of Distress Paints on the background of this size 8 tag.  On the edges I applied dark shade to distress the tag. The leaves and hearts were die cut and colored using Distress paints, too. I outlined these embellishments with Faber Castell black pen. The hearts and the background of the tag were stamped with some text prints. 

I die cut the sentiment "thank you" using Sizzix Celebration Thinlits Die and pasted it on the tag using Tombow Glue. The key hole, hardware and clip were colored using Distress Paints. All the embellishments were attached on the tag using Tombow Glue. I splattered some white paint as the final touch.
