Mixed Media Tag Stencil Fun Be Brave

Happy Monday, my friends, welcome back to another challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "STENCIL FUN". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 39 for the texture on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Sizzix Cut Out Leaves Thinlits Die Set.

To start this project, I applied the modeling paste over Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 39 with a palette knife on the size 8 tag. After it was dry, I colored the tag using the acrylic paint and highlighted the stenciled texture with Gesso.

The leaves was die cut, then layered and glued with watercolored background. The Prima Flower was added with those leaves on the tag using the heavy gel.

I added the rubs on sentiments on the background and attached more sentiments with Tim Holtz Quote Chips. Some metal fasteners and a clip were glued on the tag. To finish off this project, I distressed the flower, leaves and the edges of the tag using a Distress Ink Pad.

I created an art journal page with stenciled background using Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 3 and decorated it with Idea-Ology Quote Token. I started this project with spaying the Dylusions Spray with different colors over this stencil set. The letters image on the background was made with dabbing Dylusion Paint over the stencil.

I die cut the heart, colored it with Distress Paint, distressed it with a black pen, and covered it with a layered of Crackle Paint. The heart was then stamped with Prima clear stamp and a black ink pad. I attached paper flowers and Tim Holtz Quoted Token on the page using Tombow Mono Glue.

As the final touch, I randomly rubbed on some sentiments and images on the page. I really enjoyed using the stencil with either spraying or dabbing over. If you like, you may also create texture with adding modeling paste over stencils. There are so many fun way to create with stencils. Just try it and have fun!
