Mixed Media Tag We Can See Clearly

Hey, my dear crafty friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge out theme is "WE CAN SEE CLEARLY". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Gauge Frames Embellishments and its plastic packaging to make windows to see Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Found Relatives Portraits. 

To start this project, I wrapped the size 8 tag with the foil and embossed it with Tim Holtz Foundry 3D Embossing Folder. The tag was distressed with a black ink pad a blender. I glued the Tim Holtz Gauge Frames and the plastic packaging cut from it to make the see through window, then pasted the vintage portraits under the windows using the foam tapes. 

Many metal embellishments and hardware heads were attached on the tag. I also added some sentiments using Tim Holtz Label Stickers and metallic stickers. The chipboard sentiment was distressed and pasted on the tag with foam tapes.

Mixed Media Art Journal Visible Image Stamp Clear Daydreamer

Hello, my talented crafty friends, hope you all had a great weekend and welcome back for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "SOMETHING CLEAR". Please use something clear like acetate, vellum, clear embossing powder, glossy accents, etc. on your creation. 

We are showcasing some fabulous products from Visible Image this week. If you have any of their products we would love to see them used, but it's not necessary to join in with the challenge. This week we are welcoming back the lovely Anne Redfern aka Redanne  into the Designer Spotlight. Please make sure to visit her blog for the awesome creations and inspiration!

I was inspired to create a mixed media journal page using the Visible Image Daydreamer Clear Stamp and decorated it with the clear Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Facets Dangles. 

To start this project, I sprayed the Distress Oxide Spray with different colors over the Tim Holtz Layering Stencils to create the background patterns. 

On a piece of white heavy card stock, I stamped the Visible Image Daydreamer stamp and colored it using Daniel Smith watercolor set. The image and the sentiments was cut and pasted on the journal page. 

On another piece of white heavy card stock, I colored it using watercolors and rubbed on some sentiments. I adhered the clear Facets Dangles on the sentiments with Tombow Mono Glue. The Facets Dangles were cut and glued on the journal page. 

I really love the cute daydreamer image from the Visible Image and enjoy playing the beautiful colors of the sprays on the background. Hope you like my art journal page and got inspired to create your project. Happy crafting!
