Mixed Media Tag Add Some Texture Carabelle

Hello friends, hope you all enjoyed your weekend and are ready for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "MAKE SOME TEXTURE". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Distress Texture Paste for the texture on the background and decorated it with a stamped image using Carabelle Studio Elsie Cling Stamp.

I started this project with applied some Tim Hotlz Grit Paste on the background with a palette knife to create the texture. After the paste was dry, I applied Distress Paints on the tag with Yellow then Tea Dye and Expresso colors. I distressed the edges of the tag with some Distress Ink Pads and blending tools. 

On a piece of watercolor paper, I stamped the image and colored it with watercolors. I tore the image and glued it on the tag. Some sentiments were pasted using the stickers and the quote chip. I also randomly added some rubs-on texts and prints. Hope you like the texture I created and this cute image. Join us to make your texture. Happy crafting!

Mixed Media Tag Background Carabelle

Hello, my lovely blog friends, welcome back for the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge we challenge you to "Make Your Own Background". There are so many awesome techniques for making your own backgrounds! I am looking forward to seeing what you create! As it is the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a particular company, and this week, we’re all using some fabulous products from the Carabelle Studio! You don’t have to use them to join in, but if you use them in your project, we'd be very happy to see them shared!

The super talented Jo aka Let’s Art Journal joins us this month as our guest Designer this week. Please check her fantastic projects and leave her some comment love. 

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Carabelle Studio Papillons Embossing Folder for the background and Prima Marketing Fall Pine Leaf Embellishments to decorate the tag. To start this project, I embossed this size 8 tag with Carabelle Studio embossing folder and Big Shot. The tag was colored and distressed using different shades of Distress Paints and created the weathered and distressed effect.

On a piece of white card stock, I embossed the same patterned with the same embossing folder, and distressed the pattern with Simon Says Stamp Dye Ink Pad and Tim Holtz Applicator Tool. I cut the embossed paper and pasted it on the left bottom corner of the tag. Some Prima Pine Leaves were added on the tag using foam dots.

Some photos, Bauble Charm embellishments were attached on the tag. I also added some sentiments to finish off this project.
