Mixed Media Tag Lots of Textures


Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "LOTS OF TEXTURES". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using The Crafter's Workshop WHITE MODELING PASTE and Tim Holtz MINI STENCIL SET 3 for the texture on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology TRANSPARENT THINGS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology PAPER DOLLS MINI.


I start this project with making the texture on the background using Tim Holtz Mini Stencil set 3 and the modeling paste with a palette knife. The background was colored with Tim Holtz Distress Spray and Distress Ink Pad. 


I decorated the tag with Tim Holtz Mini Doll and the butterfly from Tim Holtz Idea-ology TRANSPARENT THINGS. Some metal embellishments were added on the tag. I finish off this project by attaching the sentiments with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Quote Chip Labels and Tim Holtz Idea-ology METALLIC Sticker Book.

Let's Art Journal



Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "LET'S ART JOURNAL". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray Set Of 12 Ranger on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Sizzix Vault Lovebirds Thinlits Dies and  Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps Curiosity.

To start this project, I sprayed the background of the art journal page with Tim Holtz Distress Sprays. I stamped the art journal page with Prima Stamp tiny text and the black ink pad. I stamped the typewriter and light bulbs on the journal age. 


On a piece of watercolor paper, I die cut the bird images and colored it with Zig watercolor brushes. I glued the bird images on the art journal page and added the sentiments with Tim Holtz Idea-ology CLIPPINGS Sticker Book and Tim Holtz Idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHTS to finish off this art journal page.

Mixed Media Tag Romance


Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "ROMANCE/WEDDING/ANNIVERSARY". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia Roseland 8x8 Paper on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology PAPER DOLLS MINI and Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps Curiosity.

To start the I started this project with trimming the patterned paper and pasted it on the size 8 tag. I distressed the tag with a distress tool and outlined the tag with a black pen. I stamped the embellishments on a piece of white cardstock using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps Curiosity, cut and distressed the edges. 


The embellishments were glued on the tag. I arranged the paper flowers around the mini paper doll. I attached some Tim Holtz metal embellishments and sentiment stickers to finish off this romance project.

Mixed Media Tag Light and Airy



Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "LIGHT and AIRY". As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Studio Light. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

Out guest designer this month is the lovely Wanda Hentges. Please visit her Instagram for all the great creations and inspirations. 


I was inspired to create a mixed media tag with trimming the pattern paper from Stamperia Sea Land 8x8 Paper and pasted it on the background of the #8 tag. The tag was distressed with a distress tool, and the ink pads and art daubers. I outlined the tag with a black pen. 


The globe was die cut using the texture card stocks, Tim Holtz Sizzix Vault World Travel Thinlits Dies and Big Shot. I trimmed the postcards from Studio Light Vintage Postcards DIY Block Mini and embellished them on the tag. Some Tim Holtz metal embellishments were attached on the tag. To finish off this project,  I added some sentiment stickers from Tim Holtz Idea-ology METALLIC Sticker Book .
