Mixed Media Tag Back To School

Hello, my dear talented friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "BACK TO SCHOOL". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Paper Rose WINTER STROLL 12x12 Paper Pad on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology PAPER DOLLS PORTRAITS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology TYPE CHIPS Embellishments.


I started this project with trimming Paper Rose WINTER STROLL 12x12 Paper Pad and pasted it on this size 8 tag. I distressed the edges of the tag using Distress Ink Pad and a blending tool, then outlined the tag using a black pen. I colored Tim Holtz Paper Doll then layered it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology BASEBOARDS WINDOW FRAME, and adhered them on the tag. 

The sentiment was added using Tim Holtz Idea-ology TYPE CHIPS Embellishments. I adhered the colored typewriter and clock images from Tim Holtz Idea-ology ENGRAVING LAYERS. Tim Holtz clip and Hitch Fastener embellishments were glued on the tag to complete the project.

Art Journal Let's Go On Vacation

Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "LET'S GO ON VACATION". I was inspired to create an art journal page using Royal Langnickel ZEN WATERCOLOR BRUSH Set and Zig PORTABLE GANSAI TAMBI 14 Colors Travel Watercolor Set on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps AIR TRAVEL and Tim Holtz Idea-ology REMNANT RUBS LABELED. 


To start this project, I stamped the map and ticket images from Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps AIR TRAVEL using Tsukineko VersaFine ONYX BLACK Ink Pad. I colored this page with watercolors and watercolor brushes. On another piece of watercolor paper, I stamped the compass and airplane images, colored, cut and pasted them on this page. 

  

The edges of this art journal page were distressed with Distress Ink Pad and art daubers, then outlined with a black marker. I randomly added some text prints with Tim Holtz Idea-ology REMNANT RUBS LABELED. The sentiment from Tim Holtz Idea-ology SMALL TALK Stickers was adhered to finish off this "Let' s Go On Vacation" art journal page.

Mixed Media Tag Fabulous Florals

Hello, my dear blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "Fabulous Floral". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Paper Rose WINTER STROLL 12x12 Paper Pad on the background and decorated it with Prima Marketing INDIGO Flower And Branch Charms and Tim Holtz Idea-ology PAPER DOLLS PORTRAITS.


I started this project with trimming Paper Rose WINTER STROLL 12x12 Paper Pad and pasted it on this size 8 tag. I distressed the edges of the tag using Distress Ink Pad and a blending tool, then outlined the tag using a black pen. I colored Tim Holtz Paper Doll and layered it with Stamperia Savana A5 Colored Wooden Shapes and adhered them on the tag. The background of the tag was added some text print with Tim Holtz Idea-ology REMNANT RUBS LABELED.


Beatuiful Prima Marketing INDIGO Flower And Branch Charms were arranged around the paper doll. I added the sentiment with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Quote Bands Findings and some metal embellishments on the tag. To finish off this fabulous florals project, I randomly added some Tim Holtz Flip Top Distress Paint SALVAGED PATINA Ranger on the embellishments and background of the tag.

Paper Rose Red White Blue

Hi, my dear talented crafty friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "RED, WHITE and/or BLUE". As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Paper Rose. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

Our guest designer this month is talented Rox aka Red Dirt Crafter. Please visit her blog for all the awesome projects and great inspiration! 


I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia Oriental Garden 12 X 12 Paper on the background and decorated it with Paper Rose Shelby's House Clear Stamp and Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Quote Bands Findings. I started this project with trimming the patterned paper from Stamperia Oriental Garden 12 X 12 Paper and pasted it on the size 8 tag. The edges of tag were distressed with Distress Ink Pad and an art dauber. I also outlined the tag using a black pen. 

 

The house image was stamped and colored with Royal Langnickel ZEN WATERCOLOR BRUSH Set and Zig PORTABLE GANSAI TAMBI 14 Colors Travel Watercolor Set. Then the house image was cut, layered and adhered with the circle die cut on the tag. I added the sentiments using Tim Holtz Idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHTS and Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Quote Bands Findings. The clips and Tim Holtz Idea-ology MACHINERY HEADS embellishments were attached to finish off this project.
