Mixed Media Tag Sweet Treats


Hi, my dear talented blog friends, welcome back to the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "SWEET TREATS". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia Oriental Garden 12 X 12 Paper on the background, and decorated it with Stamperia Casa Granada Stencil and Tim Holtz Sizzix Bold Text 1 Thinlits Die.

To start this project, I trimmed the paper from Stamperia Oriental Garden to paste on this 4" X 6" tag, and distressed this tag with a blending tool and Distress Ink Pad. On a piece of watercolor paper, I applied Paper Artsy Fresco Finish Lawn Chalk Acrylic Paint over Stamperia Casa Granada Stencil with a daubers tool. These images were colored with Zig Portable Gansai Tambi 14 Colors Travel Watercolors, then cut and pasted on the tag using double sided tapes. 

The sentiment were die cut with Tim Holtz Sizzix Bold Text 1 Thinlits Dies and Big Shot Machine. I added Stamperia Savana A5 Colored Wooden Shape embellishments and some small sentiment stickers. To finish off this project, I randomly splattered some Gesso and water mixture.
