Mixed Media Tag Spring

Hello my dear friends, welcome back to the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "SPRING/ EASTER". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia Paper House of Rose on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Sizzix Typewriter 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder and Prima Marketing Friends Always My Sweet Flowers.

To start this project, I trimmed the patterned paper from Stamperia House of Rose and pasted it on this size 8 tag. The tag was distressed with a Distress Ink Pad and a blending tool, and outlined with a Big Brush Pen. The bird and Prima Flower embellishments were adhered on the tag using Glue Dots and double sided tapes. 

I embossed the typewriter letters using Tim Holtz 3D Typewriter Texture Fades Embossing Folder, cut and pasted it on the tag with double sided tapes. To finish off this project, I added some sentiments using Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers and Label Stickers.

Mixed Media Tag Whatever the Weather

Hello, my dear friends, welcome back! Hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "WHATEVER THE WEATHER". I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Rays to create the sunshine on the background and decorated it with Tim Holtz Sizzix Feathered Friends Thinlet Die.

I started this project by trimming the pattered paper from Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Backdrops Volume 1 then pasted it on the size 8 tag. I stenciled the sun rays using Tim Holtz  the blending tool, Distress Ink Pad and Tim Holtz Stencil Rays. The tag was distressed with the blending tool and a black brush pen. 

These two birds were die cut using the Sizzix Fathered Friends Thinlits Die and the paper from the same Tim Holtz Backdrops Volume 1. The background of the tag was randomly added rubs on prints. I attached some metal and fabric embellishments, and some sentiment stickers.
