I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Brutus Monroe Steampunk Clear Stamp and embellished it with Prima Marketing Machine Parts Finnabair Mechanicals and Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Quotations Metallic Stickers.
I started this project with cutting the recycled corrugated cardboard into a size 8 tag and colored it with Distress Paints. I heat embossed the colored background using the clear embossing powder for the metal texture.
On a piece of watercolor paper, I stamped the steampunk girl and other images. The images were colored using Daniel Smith watercolors then applied a layer of Tim Holtz Distress Micro Glaze for a glazed finish.
I layered these cut images and some metal gears and embellishments and used heavy gel to adhered them on the tag. Some sentiments were added with Tim Holtz Quotation Stickers. I distressed and outlined the images, metal embellishments and edges of the tag using a black pen to finish off this project.
