Mixed Media Halloween Tag Take Flight

Hello, my talented crafty friends, I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful fall weather and autumnal scene during the weekend. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we challenge you create a project with the theme "TAKE FLIGHT". Whether your preferred mode of transport is a plane or hot air balloon, or you could go with nature and feature a bird or flying insect. Whatever you decide to use, we will be looking forward to seeing your makes! 

I was inspired to create a mixed media Halloween tag using Tim Holtz Paper Doll Ancestors with Regal Adornments Metal wings, and decorated the tag with Idea-ology Pumpkin Pieces Findings.

To start this tag, I first applied Distress Paints on the background of the tag and the Baseboard Frame. You can stamped the bats on the chipboard with the black ink pad, cut and outline them using orange Distress Paint. The metal owl wing embellishments were colored with Distress Paints. 

I layered the paper dolls and the colored baseboard frame, and pasted them on the tag using Prima Heavy Gel. The pumpkins and the dried raffia were adhered on the tag using the heavy gel, too. 

To finish off this project, I sprayed some Distress Paint and water mixture on the tag. I really had fun creating this "TAKE FLIGHT" themed tag and hoped you got inspired, too. Please join us this week and happy crafting!
