Welcome to the new challenge my dear blog friends! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "Wild Things". This can be interpreted in so many ways! You could use some wild animals, wild flowers, or maybe you would prefer to use wild and funky colors! I can't wait to see what you create!

I was inspired to make a mixed media tag with some bright funky colors and embossed with Sizzix Lumber 3D Texture Embossing Folder and added a sentiment using Tim Holtz Pondring Words Thinlits Die.

To start this project, I embossed this size 8 kraft tag with Sizzix Lumber 3D Texture Embossing Folder and Big Shot. I used a blending tool to distress the wood texture with Distress Ink Pad. The edges of the tag were distressed using black Distress Paint.

I die cut the sentiment with Tim Holtz Pondering Word Thinlits Die and Core'dinations Distress Colorcore Cardstock, then layered on a piece of Kraft card stock to show the negative die cut. After die cut the leaves, I layered them with a distressed Prima Flowers and pasted them on the tag using foam tabs.

The metal bow, butterfly and word band were colored with Distress Paints and pasted on the tag using foam tabs and Tombow glue. I dripped different shades of Distress Paint and water mixture using Faber Castell Drip Dropper randomly on the tag. To finish off this project, I added some sentiments using Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Clipping Stickers.

For this week's challenge, I was inspired to make a mixed media card with a little sparkle of Ranger Snowflakes Tinsel Embossing Powder and Simon Says Stamp Pixie Dust Sequins. To start this project, I trimmed the card base with the heavy white stock and folded into size 4.25" X 5.5". The Deco Sheet was cut slightly smaller than the card base and pasted on the card base using Scor-Tape.

On another piece of white card stock, I sprayed Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain, then stamped some patterns using Tim Holtz Rubber Stamps and Distress Ink Pads. The last layer of stamping was done with the black ink pad and a text stamp. The colored and stamped card stock was cut and pasted on the card base as the background. The sentiment was stamped using Tim Holtz rubber stamp and Distress black ink pad on a piece of sprayed paper, torn and pasted on the background of the card using foam tabs.

The heart embellishment was die cut and covered with glitter using Tombow glue. I also applied the glue around the edges of Prima Flowers and sprinkled some glitter to make them more interesting. Some sequins were added randomly to finish off this project.
